bouchon or not its a interesting airplne, the main cell is a bf 109 g2-4 or 6, , in this particular case with QEC System (Quick Engine Change)

Not really a Bf109 is it with a bouchon or Merlin engine under the cowel, is it. Still, good to see it fly
@tobiaskrause43337 жыл бұрын
it has a Quick-Engine-Change-system. They can fly with a Merlin or a DB605 :)

They were all Bf109s, whether fitted with a R-R Kestrel, Jumo 210, DB601, DB605, P&W Twin Wasp (Bf109V21), BMW 801 (Bf109X), Jumo 211, Hispano-Suiza, or R-R Merlin. This argument has outlived its usefulness. And when you own one, you can put any engine in it you want. :-)

It looks like a real Bf-109G-12 airframe to me ... problem is, no one can manufacture an exact working replica of a DB-601, 605, etc these days. While we've surpassed the 1940s aviation technology with jet aircraft that would seem like alien technology to WWII aviators, we really can't build piston-driven internal combustion aircraft engines as good as they could in the 40s lol. Weird but true.

This may be a Hispano Aviacíon HA-1112, which was basically a licensed version of the Bf-109G12 airframe using alternative engines (such as the Merlin). If that's the case, it's actually not a 109 but a very close cousin. 🤔

The Buchon was a G-2, not a G-12. The two seaters had different designations.
@FiveCentsPlease7 жыл бұрын
+Greg Pascal It was a Buchon rebuilt into a G-12 by the owner. They also arranged to have both the DB engine and a Merlin engine package made so that they can save wear-and-tear on the rare DB-605.

Tolles Video.

Was kostet denn die Flugminute? Unter 100, 00 EUR oder schon darüber? *grins*

Klasse Video! ;-)

The video is interesting, but I would like to indicate that it is not a Messerschmitt BF109 but a Hispano Aviation HA-1112, manufactured by CASA in Spain, the bulge of the nose is because it does not have the engine of the Messerschmitt Daimler-Benz DB 601A-1 if not the Rolls Royce Merlin I engine of the Supermarine Spitfire, but put the German escarpments of the stick.

+Aniceto Martinez They actually built both engine packages to exchange as needed. (QEC.) They can fly with the Merlin to save wear on the very expensive DB 605. Correct that the airframe was originally a Buchon and the owner had it built into a G-12 version with a DB-605.
@GameDevNerd3 жыл бұрын
What type of engine is it running?
@FiveCentsPlease2 жыл бұрын
+ Aaron Carter It has flown with both a Merlin and a DB-605 by exchanging them. It is good that they keep a Merlin because it saves expensive wear on the rare DB engine.

Good video and all but comes with wrong title & completely historical wrong paintjob on that Hispano Aviación HA1112 M1L
@FiveCentsPlease6 жыл бұрын
+monsara888 They also have a DB 605 engine package for it. It's a Buchon rebuit into G-12. The Merlin package saves wear on that rare DB engine.

@stefanrichter91626 жыл бұрын

+Andrei Praxedes The G-12 was conversion in WW2 for a trainer aircraft. About 500 were converted from existing Bf-109s. This flying example was a Spanish Buchon and the owner rebuilt it into a G-12 standard. i.pinimg.com/originals/89/51/77/895177759b1fe5690ed51369f63a5e89.jpg
