The 3 blade system is awesome. We bought a Vicon cm 2400 and I haven’t flipped or replaced the blades since 2004. Although I only do between 30-60 a year I have done over 100 for most years. Works great for a full time worker and part time farmer.

Have to say I like the Kubota colours on this Taarup/Kverneland/Vicon evolution. Three of the best Mower makers amalgamated, Kubota is on a winner Buying Kverneland.

Do you still need to rake after using a conditioner? It looks like it comes out ready to bail. Sorry for my lack of knowledge, but I'm trying to understand the benefits of the conditioner
@1969countryfarmer6 жыл бұрын
The conditioner crimps the stems of the plant and at these crimps, the surface is broke open which allows the moisture to escape quicker. Most times you probably do need to rake once to help fluff up allow the underside to air out better, this can vary depending on the crop and weather conditions.

All rotary mowers use a series of thin gear boxes to drive the rotors. When they blow up in a few years, and they all will, the repair is going to be more than the swather is worth. Had a 7 year old John Deere swather that blew up, it was only worth scrap metal price.

I have 2 with 15 years of cutting 1200 to 1400 acres neither one have blown a gearbox had trouble with the tarp system just from the bracing and brackets wearing out but the cutterbars are still cutting perfectly

Didn't Kubota buy Vicon? So basically these are all Vicon hay tools.
@MessicksEquip7 жыл бұрын
kinda sorta. Its a combination of Vicon and kverneland. Kvernland was Vicons parent company. Kubota bought them several years ago.
