On the first case, the "another route" I'm sure they are looking into is removal of the baby. Sounds like currently teen mom is in care and baby is in her custody. Sounds like they want to remove the baby and place him with Grandma.

My daughter was 17 when she had her child, when her son was born, he ended up in the nicu. She only left his side to sleep, the hospital was 50 miles from our home. She stayed in Ronald Mcdonald house next to the hospital. Her only focus was her child. I was so proud of her. She was so young but she had her priorities straight! He's 12 now and she's successful in her field. She moved out of our home as soon as she turned 18, struggled along the way, but was determined to make the life she wanted for her and her child. I know some young mothers don't have any support and they don't know what to do. But for ffs...don't abandon your child, don't hurt your child! They don't deserve to live your life!

When we had one in a large, regional pediatric NICU (for 6 weeks), they told us the abandonment rate was 60%, and that the babies were abandoned even when the medical condition could be fixed. Ronald McDonald House is a life saver for those who are there for their babies.

That poor baby born with so much against her. Those foster parents deserve a lot of credit for taking on a sick child. The great grandma wants the child, obviously an older woman I would hope she was capable of taking care a new born sick child.

What a good case. Thanks for bringing it to us. The first part seemed like all these adults got together and made decisions for the situation, and it's all falling through the cracks. Sad indeed. But, I'm really getting fed up with people who don't have the ability to point a camera. I don't know how they are smart enough to log in to zoom.

If you're a teen and decide to be sexually active, you need to use protection. There are so many birth controls out there and health clinics will give you condoms for free (at least in my state). There is also adoption and termination. A teen girl should NOT have a baby. I don't care what anyone says, a teenager is not mature enough to be a parent. I'm not saying all teen Mom's are bad but they would be an even better Mom if they wait.

What I have heard, sex Ed is pretty much non existent in some parts of the US and quite often it is abstinence…..which is REALLY helpful 😳

Many teens are too scared to talk to their parents. My mom didn't agree withe having sex at 15 but she put me on the pill straight away.

I guess if she gives birth to the new baby during the CPS case while she's working services, they couldn't remove the new baby unless they can show that that baby is in danger right now. I've seen many cases where a parent loses one child, straightens up to some extent, then is able to keep the new child. With drug addiction, it's all about timing, and it's unfortunate that a relapse may have them circling back at some point to the new baby.

You have to be missing some genetic human gene because it’s just impossible for me to imagine a mother doing this !!! My son was in an accident and broke his back t 17 I didn’t shower , change clothes for 4 days and the only reason I did leave his bed was because my Mom and Dad said hospital had a special place for parents need to shower and get Normal . That’s what any mother would do I am not special so I can’t imagine leaving him .

As far as bringing children to court, in some cases they require the foster parents to bring the child/children to court js

They rarely want the children in the proceedings. I've seen many asked to remove them from the room completely. Those who are present are there because they're needed to speak, because they're old enough and have an interest in the case but they're removed after they address the court.

@OnTropolis i know someone who is a foster parent and due to certain circumstances and issues the judge wants to see the child every time they have a court date, you are right tho because after seeing the child the judge has one of the foster parents take the child out of the courtroom

I love my animals dearly, but if my son had a bad allergy to one of them, they would be rehomed in a heartbeat. It would kill me to rehome my little Chihuahua, but if it were a matter of getting my kid back, that would make the decision very easy.

@Holly Kane typically every time the histamines are introduced to someone with an allergy, the reaction is more severe. This is an infant that needed emergent care after a visit. My guess is, each time he's exposed the chances of him having a true anaphylactic reaction increases. It's definitely not a situation to just give a baby an epi pen and Benadryl each time he's exposed.
