Last fall I purged my closet again. I saved one bin of pregnancy clothes and one bin of postpartum/nursing clothes. The rest fits easily into my dresser and hanging clothes fit half my closet. It feels so much nicer just having the clothes that bring joy.

In Texas we don’t have real “seasons” so it’s more of a favorite few days of lucky weather early spring and late fall when it isn’t 100+ degrees outside. Any day my daughter can play outside and we aren’t sweating bullets in the first five minutes is a great day and my “favorite season”. 😂 #instafamgiveaway

I've spent the last year or two getting to a state that's 'minimal' for us. I'm really enjoying watching your series. It's 7:30pm here and I'm about to make a cup of tea to dig in and binge watch some more! I must say, I've noticed that as I've decluttered I've got behind on my deep cleaning...and that's what I've been catching up on during the quarantine! I’ve never sold anything on Mercari because I’m afraid I’m going to end up spending more to ship it than I’ll end up making from the sale. Could you do an Instastory talking about how you account for shipping and packaging costs when you set your selling price and, similarly, what makes an item “worth” listing to you?

Mercari does prepaid labels paid for by the buyer. So if you’re selling, it’s really easy and you don’t have to pay for the shipping.

If you purchase a cheap scale and weigh your item with your packaging prior to listing then you know which shipping category to select when listing. :)

Usually for light clothes the shipping is $3. I reuse packaging from the packages I get in the mail, instead of throwing it away

Also just wanted to let you know you have converted me to a solid Starbucks drinker.I was a DD girl before lol I tried the espresso on ice with the cinnamon dolce (sugar free version) an I am ADDICTED! ;) Thank you for sharing! Im in Central Florida (born and raised) so I don't really understand the whole "Seasons" We have Hot but manageable with lovebugs season , hotter but only go out in the morning and evening season, hottest hurricane with more lovebug season, and hot but with a few semi cold might need to put a jacket on but still wear short sleeve season. We own one lightweight jacket each here!

Ah! I need to do this in my room so bad. I'm 19, and my parents downsized to an apartment leading to me sharing a small bedroom with my older sister for less than a year. She ended up moving up her wedding date, and now she is moving out early, and I'm redecorating (and I need to do a serious wardrobe overhaul.) Definitely watching now for ideas and in a few weeks down the road once I actually have the space to do it!

Definitely! My sister moved up her wedding so that my mom could be there (she moved onto Glory 4 days later.) Declutter, cleaning, and looking back on all of those memories that go along with those things has been one of the most cathartic things for me...and my sister get some new stuff for her home in the process! 😁

Where do you find shopping boxes for shipping out clothing? Also, my favorite season is definitely fall! There’s just something about the vibe and feeling I get when it’s chilly and leaves are falling! I love wearing sweaters and lots of layers! I’m more on the plus size side, so personally I feel more confident wearing fall/winter attire, rather than attire for the warmer months and seasons. Mercari isn’t available here in the UK, sadly. I’ve been doing a lot of decluttering lately. We’re under strict lockdown here which has just been extended for another 3 weeks.
