I started loosing hair. I noticed every time I ate something with yeast in it my hair would shed more than normal and my scalp would burn and would feel like someone was sticking needles in it. If I don't wash every 3 days with an antifungal shampoo it will come out even more. I'm thinking what I have is folliculitis.

My husband suffered from a disease called Stevens Johnson Syndrome; a very serious autoimmune illness. He was constantly in pain from it; his skin would blister as though he was burned. Until his passing we changed everything we could to alleviate his bodies reaction to all types of influences that effected him. From changing our dietary habits to homeopathic remedies. Unfortunately even with all we did Walter was unable to "shake" this disease. I'm so grateful to God that Jalen was able to overcome his ordeal. Blessings to you all.

I never heard of SJS until about 4 years ago. My co-worker got it from an allergic reaction to an antibiotic and it almost killed her! Body completely swollen, face unrecognizable, hospitalized for months. It really is something. Thank God she made it through. 🙌🏽

I went through alopecia areata the good thing about my experience is that I didn't lose as much hair as you did. For over a year I wore one hairstyle so that I could cover the patches. When the patches would widen I'd have to repart my hair. At one point it was very stressful because I just kept losing hair I still have a small patch growing in. The experience was scary but thank God I've overcome for the most part. Congratulations on the release of your book. And thank you for sharing your story.

@@harriettwebster3488 You're correct, I believe Diabetes and Hypertension ( High blood pressure), are also auto- immune disorders or diseases. I have Hypothroidism/ Hashimotis, I noticed a goiter approx.21 y.o., and extreme sleepiness, I would fall asleep anywhere and everywhere, 40 years later and my son still remembers this. 😔 Thank God for watching over me & carrying me, when I couldn't carry myself! My daily treatment, yearly lab work, diet, exercise and 1 tiny pill...Allows me to feel Amazing, I Thank God! 🙏🙏 💃 Auto- immune disorder/ disease is when the body is Attacking it self, my undiagnosed & untreated body felt just like that, the most weirdest feeling ever! It isn't unusual to develop another auto- immune disorder, many years after the first diagnosis.I currently have 2 and both are medically treated and managed well.I recommend seeing an Endocrinologist for auto- immune diagnosis and treatment. Once you said he was linked, I went to his page and started looking at the Vitamin D -Sun video. As I listened to him speak on your video, I was thinking about my late husband and sister. They both died due to connections of autoimmune disease and disorders. My husband's colon cancer treatment was very compromised by his autoimmune system. My sister died a horrible, terrible death due to the rare autoimmune disease scleroderma. I haven't been able to healthily grow my hair for over 51 years. This is the longest my hair has been without having locs. This week, I was able to wash, trim, press, curl my hair. The next day, I trimmed it sone more, then curled it. Then, after work, I was actually still able to braid it. I was ecstatic! I just realized, listening to Jalen that I have recently actually changed my diet and my hair also started growing very quickly and thick.

This bought tears to my eyes, I have had so many ups and downs with alopecia ànd was literally told by Drs for decades to just accept it, it's not related to any disease, your just going to be bald. They would always be shocked that food and herbs would always turn it around. Come to find out age 50 that I've had autoimmune conditions since childhood. I just purchased your book! I have Lichen Planopilaris hair loss and unlike your experience my hair falls out gradually ( over a period of time). I went to the dermatologist and she said this autoimmune disease destroys the hair follicles permanently ( my body treats my hair follicles as a threat and it attacks them). The only solution that was offered to me was to inject steroids into my scalp , which I declined. I hope your book helps with restoring hair follicles, thank you for sharing your story

I had Graves Disease an auto immune disease but didn't know. I just thought my mood swings were the menopause... little did i know how ill i really was. I had a mild heart attack 9nov 2015. It was a warning sign i was seriously ILL. A week later my body went into a THYROID STORM and i almost died. I was hospitalised to stableize me and put onto meds. 2 yrs later my consultant referred me for a total thyroidectomy(thyroid gland in your throat controlls your immune system) my thyroid was taken out and my voice changed and i cant sing a scale anymore :/ And i now survive because my immune system is controlled by 100mcg of thyroxine daily. Had i known then that i could reboot my thyroid i would still have it and a natural immune system instead of being reliant on a tiny pill. 58 and still here. Your hair looks amazing _/!\_ Good luck with your book :)

I have sle lupus, fibromylagia and ocd, since I was 19, I just turned 36, when I was 28, I developed alopecia as well! My hair was falling out in patches, my hair was waist length before, I was also in good shape, and I ate right, I ended up shaving my hair, I was bald! It wasn't easy, but my now husband, he held me, and told me that I was beautiful, and I was not my hair! Today, it's been 3 years since I shaved it bald, and it's to my rib cage now, I still have the crown that's not growing though, and I hide it in a ponytail, every day! My dermatologist, just gave me steroid injections in my scalp 2 months ago, after I've tried everything else I could, and hit dead ends. I'm gonna get his book and read it! Wow, that engaging. U had a female friend who lost a lot of hair within a short time. Her doctor prescribed some medication for her but our research showed that the medication is very addictive and she will be hooked to it forever if she is not careful. She dropped all in the bin and rather changed her lifestyle. Not knowing her inability to handle money properly which made her short of money always was stressing her. She was in an okay job but so elites decides to change her wardrobe. It comes at a high cost you can imagine. She slowed down on unnecessary expenditure and life became easier then the hair started to grow back. I can only conclude from his story that stress causes this type of ailments. I believe the stress from his athletics was a heavy burden causing the neurone ailment. The story is ery interesting

Jalen I can relate so much to your story. I have had Lupus since I was 14 years old. I had my first blood clot in my leg when I was 15. I recently had another clot this time in the left anterior descending artery in my heart it caused me to have a widow maker heart attack leaving over 70% of my heart damaged. Lupus has caused me to deal with many health issues through the years and hair loss was one of them. I truly wish I had had the internet when I was struggling so, but I use it as a valuable tool today. I am looking forward to your book. I need to know if I can get the audio version. One of the down sides of my autoimmune disease is I am losing my vision and depend on audio books. May God continue to bless you and I look forward to seeing you more in Ling and Lamb channel.
