the stock facial interface for me is very comfortable but it has a huge problem - when i sweat, the sweat gets soaked into the interface and stays like that for a long time, and that’s concernjnf

I just tried the silicone facial interface and it makes a big difference for comfort, it’s a lot more comfortable than the default facial interface that the headset comes with, it keeps your face a lot cooler and the silicone doesn’t irritate your face like the default facial interface does, I like this silicone facial interface, this is a must buy for the Quest 3, definitely worth it

I caved in and brought this, its a rip off but i tryed a aftermarket silicon cover and wasn't happy with it.

Actually the silicon facial interface cover (which you can redeemed a bunch at Meta for free if you have quest2) can just fit on the facial interface for Q3. Just need two cut on two sides as Q3 is more curved.

Amvr cost 35 lol and it tilts forward more and diggs in to your face for thsn the meta one. it sucks

It's good to know that it really is good, but I think it's ridiculous for the company to manufacture an identical product with just one detail to make that difference and not put it directly in the original product, just to make more money, 39$, cmon... what am I going to do with the original, rubbish?

Wish i would have watched this before i ordered the one from AMVR. I didn't think this one would block light since it looked the exact same as the stock one. Nothing wrong with the AMVR one but just would have rather got the official one

I bought one of these for my Quest 3 and if you wear spex they are a nightmare. Fitting the headset to your face with spex on, the legs of your spex does not slide along the silicone. It was a struggle as the silicone 'grabs' the legs. Once on you face if you try to adjust the headset your spex move too. Taking the headset off with the silicone 'grabbing' the legs of my spex also pulled my spex off my face, almost dropping onto the pancake lenses. The clips around the front part around the cheeks kept coming lose too. I took the silicone interace back to the shop for a refund. Anyone bying this product should try fitting it over their spex to see if it 'grabs' the spex legs. With the original fame one the fome slips along the spex legs no problem.

Hello there, thank you for the insight! Also, I'd recommend not having your headsets' lenses facing the window because that can cause burn in on the displays from the sunlight! :)

They need to make one without the eyeglass spacers that sits even closer to the lenses for an even wider field of view. That can easily be done.

How is the silicone pad attached to the mount? Is it glued or embedded. I'm thinking of removing it and sticking on velcro tabs to attach my vr cover pu leather face pad.

Its permanently attached. The Best Buy demo units use this face cover and its exactly the same construction as the stock cloth gasket but using silicone and a bit less padding so it yields a tad larger FOV.

I had a silicone cover for my Rift S. Tried it and then never used it. Try putting plastic / silicone against your skin and your skin sweats. If this one reviewed here breaths then it'll also absorb sweat - negating the advantage of being easily wiped clean. Keep the default and remove it now and then to gently clean with soapy water. Also, Amazon used to sell, and likely still does, packs of dozens of paper "sleeves," a guest user can wear if they're concerned about hygiene. I use the default Quest 3 interface AND strap and both are comfortable - with the latter allowing only a little, almost unnoticeable, front heaviness. The only time I have to take the headset off due to discomfort is if I have it on too tight.

I brought a aftermarket plastic strap and put a 10000mah battery pack on the back with elastic bands, it now has a 50 50 weight distributation and I find it's more comfortable to wear with unlimited battery life by swapping the battery packs out.

@@JohnSmith-ef8nr Yeah I have a 10000 milliamp pack but I run a cord down the inside of my shirt to my left pocket where my phone normally is. I don't find it from heavy enough, with the interface collapsed - since I don't wear glasses, to bother strapping it to the back of my head. I have considered doing it though. People wearing glasses, and so having to expand the interface, will no doubt feel too much front heaviness.

it is expensive for sure, and theres going to be plenty of third party like VR Cover doing there own versions but i wanted something now that felt better then the default so im happy with what i got.

It makes no sense. There main issue is retention. Yet they still ship the headset with this awful comfort. I'm bummed vr cover wasn't ready to go with their interface. I just got this as well but I noticed vr cover does way better blocking light. Not to mention they come with different shapes for diff faces. @@UrGamingTechie

@@wjveryzer7985 Yea it wasn't a surprise this release. Kinda crazy there STILL is no 3rd party facial interface available outside of this grossly overpriced piece of kit. Meta is making a mint of this stuff. Probably like a couple dollars to make max, mostly pure profit.

Not really, but it shouldn't be that difficult to do a 3D print. There are only 4 contact points with the headset.

Why isn’t there a leather facial interface for the Quest 3?, I had one on the Quest 1 and 2, I prefer a leather interface because it keeps your face cooler and is more comfortable to wear and it doesn’t scratch your face after a while, I wish vr cover would come out with one soon

I can't wear my glasses while playing it just won't fit, it always feel like i'm gonna break them if i try to wear the headset with them si i don't 😢 it sucks because i own a PSVR2 and it fits perfectly with glasses no issue at all, they shouls build one silicone interface like this a bit larger to fit glasses
