During the pandemic our class gave us a samsung tablet .. to everyone, i looked it's price up and it was just as much as a quest2 at that time I thought, how cool would've it been if they'd give us all VR headsets and have a virtual class or something xD

Depends my university has been using vr for years using the reverb g2 but the gear is included with the tuition so it’s ours to keep and not share.

There is quite a number of people, me including, who have tracking issues on Quest 3 and Quest 3S especially when you have to make pretty fast movements to the sides of the rear which makes some games almost useless to play. For example: 11 table tenis, Pick-up league hockey which happen to be my favorites. Can you raise that issue on your platform? Thank you ahead.

Yep. This concept has been around for years for AR glasses and some meh VR stuff. It's also been used for gimmick kid toys in the 90s like the Tiger R-Zone. Tiger made these really cheap LCD handhelds you could buy for like $5-$10 and only had one game with preset LCD images. Imagine OG Gameboy but from Wish. The R-type was a console version of those handhelds and used cartridge games.

I forgot the name of the lens but it has it's own dynamic focal lens , that was for VR but maybe there can be a AR thing too

They should do these VR prescription lenses but for AR glasses, this way you can share your glasses and you won't need to replace your glasses if your number goes up

I work on creating educational apps. It will be nice to see an affordable solution that matches the business model, and you don't need your app on the store! You can send the APK to the uni/college and they accept it, it all gets added to the headsets. Very good.

@@christianlamb I mean I still see a bit out of it. Imagine something like a heavily decreased FOV in real life. I used to ask myself the same question because theoretically stereoscopic viewing shouldn't work for me. However, I think because it's the way I've lived my entire life it's just perfectly normal to me and makes no difference to the way I normally see things. Or I guess it might work only because I see anything at all through my right eye.

I don't see much out of my right eye either but what I do see comes through my left eye as my brain just shuts my right eye off but I still play vr games like nothings wrong

You don't see a lot of immersive video on Quest because Quest users are too busy playing VR games instead of watching a video once, saying "huh!", and putting the headset down because there is really not much else you can do with it.

Xiaomi hands down had the best budget phones here in Aus. The Redmi Note line wass unbeatable for price and quality. Sucks most of their phones like my 9S isn't supported by our network anymore. Bought a cheap OLED motorola G84 and it sucks in comparison, still using the 9S as a music device because the G84 audio for bluetooth and the jack is abhorrent and restricted by the manufacturer no joke.

AR/VR have far use cases than any existing devices, is just that the availabilities of softwares and games are too much based on old flatscreen idea and limiting their design due to afraid of motion sickness and other excuses preventing the design of its capacity. We haven't seen a real softwares designed fully for AR/VR and go beyond what came from flatscreen so we now only see 2% of the potential

imma have to say I disagree with Meta putting a focus on VR Education. Like educated video games are stupid period. Why learn something in a video game when we already have ways to follow up on education!? kind of pointless.
