I'm so glad I got the 128gb Quest 3. I use airplay more than not, and only store a handful of games on the headset. I run mostly everything through steam, but I have one of those battery extender headbands and memory foam interfaces. With the extra battery and the interface, i literally could have bought the 256gb model. But now i have infinite battery as much as I want and it looks amazing compared to my old Reverb G2 plus the added bonus of wireless it's a no brainer for me. (..plus i got it $100 off on sale)

Now the quest 2 users get to feel how I felt when quest 1 got discontinued. A bunch of games stopping support as the quest 2 user count dwindles, unable to get new games, can't access features that they otherwise should have (Hopefully I can get any better headset for my birthday in November or christmas)

I refunded the 3s because of the fresnel lenses that were hard on my eyes. Bought the Quest 3 because many YT reviewers said the pancake lenses were a lot better and man I can tell that the pancake lenses are a lot better for the eyes. The image is crisper and clear and my eyes dont have a hard time to focus on the small precision view points to see clearer. It also adds more to the experience when I play Drop Dead Cabin Home Invasion and First Encounters or Space Pirate Trainer DX. The only downside is that the battery of the Quest 3 is a bit shorter but the difference is small.

Great review. Great comparison. But just for future reference. Fresnel is pronounced fre-nel. Still gonna get the 3 . Those pancake Len's are just so much better

It's pretty much straightforward. It's Meta Quest 3 with Quest 2 Lenses and Screens. 100$ isn't much of a difference and i would never buy this downgrade.

Some people can't afford 3. That's why Meta came out with the 3s. They have children or college debt. Sure that's they're own fault but that's the life they chose.
