I love your coverage on Metabo HPT, I am really enjoying their tools and it seems like other channels have some bias against them. All they seem to care about is max power and care nothing for comfort and control ability. Imo impact drivers shouldn’t be stronger than the hex collet, which it seems like Flex and some others are, causing bits and even collets to break.

The Bolt is my go too impact. It's most comfortable in my hand and that's what matters most to me. I may grab different drivers for specific applications when needed. But I keep coming back to the Bolt time and time again.

I have all of these and after doing 3 metal roofs I can honestly say the 18 volt is my pick. It has the speed and most noticeable less weight. Much better balance than the 36. But thats my opinion. I wouldn't trade any of them for any other brand. Three of us with each having our own full lines of Dewalt , Milwaukee and myself Hitachi"metabo". By the last roof all three of my drivers were bing used😂. Truly great tools!

I think the 18v (WH18DBDL2) is the best 18v impact aside from maybe the bolt. It has similar specs to the 36v in 18v. It has a little less rpm than the 18v he’s showing but more ipm and I think more torque at like 1832.

The Multivolt is an awesome battery line but for an impact, it's severely missing a slim pack battery. The 18v models can but a 1.5 and all the way to an 8ah mv battery and do most of the jobs needed. Really hope Metabo Hpt is working on a 36v slim

100% agree. Which is why the 18v triple is better than 36v triple. Almost same spec torque wise, but alot lighter with a small pack.

I have the multi volt impact driver, it’s a beast. Out of curiosity I put in a adapter for half inch drive socket, put a 13/16” socket on it & took the lug nuts off of my pickup truck bed trailer. I only done it once, use my Metabo HPT half inch impact wrench instead. I bought my HPT multi volt impact driver, two 4Ah multi volt batteries & charger in a hard case on a in store only clearance last year for half of regular price

I would assume the advantage is like the flexvolt from dewalt. Same battery for different tools. 18v impact that runs tiny 18v batteries for regular use and can step up to multivolt batteries for a little extra oomph when needed, and you can use that same 36v battery in a 1.5 inch rotary hammer or heavy duty nailer or recip saw where the 36v really is needed. With the charger being the same (they charge in 18v config for charger compatibility), this is where i want to see battery tech go, not seperate platforms like makita or ryobi. The reason theres no cord for the 18v is each wire would have to be 4x in size snd the amount of power the block would waste in heat would trip any 15a circuit. Watched a guy make an 18v milwaukee wall adapter and those 18v suppplies were putting out like 2600w over two different circuits to just keep the thing from stalling out. Its actually crazy how much power these batteries can deliver

I just bought an 18DDX this past "Black Friday" and I think it drives the hell out of any kind of screw! I put it in reverse then popped on a 19mm deep socket to try on my car lug nuts - it spun them off no problem! The DDX seems to be fantastic!

I believe the m18 fuel gen 3/4 impact driver is the king as it is much faster than the multi volt. Not keen on Metabo hpt offering an impact driver on just 36 volt batteries which not everyone wants to use all the time cause they are so big. Still believe they have some work to do to catch up to other big brands in speed and size

The 18V triple hammer can take all the 18V sizes The 36V line offers many more features tools and great prices compared to many of the red, yellow and teal 36V SDS Max and Plus Rotary Hammer,, full size plunge router(only on mkt, full size table saw, portable band saw, grinders both 4 1/4 and now 6", nailers etc all outperform the others and can utilize the AC adapter for longer run time We've switch many of our red and teal over to green in the last 4yrs and durability, price, ergonomics wins out Most guys that say negative things about MHPT' haven't used the tools

@@d.a.9937 umm I did watch the video. The 18 volt version is not what the 36 volt one is. At least m18 has their most powerful using the same batteries. That is where I am going. Use all one platform not 2 different ones. No one wants a 36volt and an 18 volt impact driver. The average person wants one with one platform. It’s like dewalt flexvolt offering a 60 volt recip saw and a 20volt recip saw. Most people want the 20 volt not the 60 volt as they are limited on batteries
@scottelia8723

@@baseballdude8491 not saying anything negative but I’m saying it’s confusing having two different platforms for something like an impact driver. Got to make sure you grab the right one with the right batteries. I could see the table saw grinders, etc. but an impact driver and hammer drill don’t make much sense as 36 volt. Still not more powerful than m18 fuel

@old-red
@old-red 3 күн бұрын
@@HeroOfTime303 probably not. At the time the cost difference was noticeable between those two whereas the specs arent that far apart. I did see some side by sides where somehow the 18dbdl2 actually performed better than the 18dc but who knows. As of right now the bolt is probably better and it along with the 18dbdl2 would both be my choice over any of the 3 covered in this video including the 36v. The 36v advantage on my opinion is the ac adapter ability but I’m not sure I’d pay the extra money for it:

I love my Metabo HPT nailer, but I tried the drills/impacts in-store and the triggers pinch my finger. They have comfortable handles and are great tools, but I don’t know if I can get around that for some reason. Anyone else have that issue?
