If you keep uploading, I have no doubt that you're going to explode in the MCAT space. These videos are really good. I'll probably come back in a year or two and see that you're at 100,000 subscribers

Thank you. I am planning on continuing to upload and hope to make a comprehensive resources for the MCAT here on YT. I just got a new puppy and thought I would still be able to keep up with my YT schedule. LOL that definitely didn’t happen, but I will be getting started with more videos here soon now that I the new pup mostly under control.

The infographs in your videos are so engaging and making learning this stuff fun!

Glad you find the infographics engaging. Studying for the MCAT is already stressful enough I figure it’s nice to try and make the process a bit more fun when I can.

Can you make a sugar/carbs video?
@EightfoldMCAT2 жыл бұрын
I can definitely add it to the list. Is there something specific you are hoping for with that video? For example, would you want it to cover the naming of carbohydrates or the stereochemistry etc.?
@lightningbeast91222 жыл бұрын
@@EightfoldMCAT Yes naming and cyclic structures and how to recognize them. You're awesome btw!

wouldnt the first example problem seem more like a phosphatase not a kinase?
@EightfoldMCAT3 ай бұрын
Yes, however the phosphate from phosphoglycerokinase gets added to ADP to form ATP so it is still transferring that phosphate to something else. This is why we can think of kinases as having “exceptions”. Phosphatases simply cleave the phosphate group off without moving it elsewhere. So a phosphatase wouldn’t generate ATP and in this step of glycolysis ATP is generated. This video is giving you a starting framework for seeing the metabolic pathways as more than just a collection of names to be memorized. I’d still recommend going deeper on the steps and learning them outright but this information should make this material make a lot more sense.

SO appreciate your videos! Do you offer any private tutoring?
@EightfoldMCAT2 жыл бұрын
Hi Makenzie, Glad you are finding the videos helpful! I do offer private tutoring and if you are interested we could set up a free consult to chat and figure out how I can help. You can send me an email at chriscernac@eightfoldlearning.com to set that up. Additionally, I also offer group tutoring called office hours if you are interested if you would prefer a group setting. I only have one spot left currently, but a couple more will be opening up in a week or two. If you are interested in that you can check it out at my website here: eightfoldlearning.com/officehours/ Best, Chris
