There was a pvp video of a guy called ''Finkrat'' back in the vanilla days. he was SM/DS build and helped make it very popular. I personally wouldnt sacrifice spell power for +healing per 5secs. with Drain life and siphon life, it's prob stronger to have stronger drain lifing spell.

Why do you pull with siphon life? It's the worst pull spell. You don't get any life on first tick because you're full. Pull with Immolate or shadowbolt instead, to use the free cast time.

I played this build always immolate then hit all your instants siphon first then start draining get those shadow bolt procs

Shadow bold Instant can proc by Corruption or LiveDRAIN, not by Siphon Life

That build is good for hellfire spam. Stack alot stamina and health per 5. Hellfire is the most powerful AOE in game

Would love to see another look at this. I've been looking into it myself and starting to collect pieces for the build. Coming with the Zandalar rep, we get Major Troll's Blood Elixirs (20Hp5). You can also use the food stat buff from Poached Sunscale for an additional 6Hp5. I did a rough calculation, assuming as many Hp5 gear as possible (many of which have spell damage), roughly 3k hp, and 200 spell power, then with 1 target you should gain about 318 hp per 2 seconds (According to what I've been reading, hp5 ticks every 2 seconds, so that's how I've been representing the numbers). That could be bonkers. 1v1, use curse of weakness / tongues and your opponent probably won't be able to deal damage fast enough to you. EDIT: someone in the comments mentioned that just stacking Stamina is better than hp5. While some of the hp5 gear also gives stamina, some do not (like rings and trinkets). With that in mind, I asked: "what is the stamina value of 1hp5, if it was generated by demonic sacrifice?" Well DS heals for 3.75% of your total hp per 5 seconds, so 1/0.0375 = 26.667 health, or just under 3 stamina. So if you had a ring giving 6hp5, it would be better to have a ring giving 18 stamina instead.

Immortal tank build -> stares at soul link. Seriously though this entire video is wrong, there's literally no tankier spec in the game for face tanking than a Soul link build, if the flat 30% damage reduction wasn't enough, add the 10% extra physical reduction from master demonologist and then you factor in the 2x void shields you can get from fel dom , some puny amount of self regen barely a fraction of the tankiness compared to soul link. Also any build requiring heavy drain life usage is set to fail in pvp, have any of the people who dueled you even heard of interrupts? that T2 mage could've 2 shot you if they even had a clue what their class can do. Last but not least, not taking 2/2 improved life tap is such a nub indicator imo, that talent is probably the best talent in the entire tree, literally every build aims for it. More mana gained = less life taps you have to do = less damage taken, this is especially true since the mana and damage inflicted by it scales with shadow damage. The only real use this spec has over other builds is that it's incredibly efficient for farming mobs, as you can throw dots on multiple relatively weak targets and sustain well enough to survive chain pulling, there's a reason this spec is a slight variation of the recommended leveling build, it's power lies in handling and sustaining more than 1 mob.

With this build you should start fights with Voidwalker out so you can sacrifice him once you have taken 5-10% health or so. And then you can quick summon him again later on for another shield. The % heal is good and all but but does absolutely nothing for you while youre at 100% health.

hy wouldn't you get the sould link 30% dmg reduction and felhunter / voidwalker resistance or 10% physical reduction and soul link gives you 3% extra dmg to you and your pet too. if youre doing tank warlock soul link and 20 pts in affl is the best by far even for solo elites and every category covered in this video. a priest felhunter or shaman would just dispel that demonic sac buff btw. then youre fucked with no pet and no buff

Dispelling Demonic Sac used to be a thing, but it was patched to be immune to Dispel about halfway through Vanilla.

better stack pure HP than HP/5, with titan flask and good gear you can get like 8+k HP and way more regen from sacrifice

Wouldn't you need to invest in spell crit for searing pain to maintain threat? Most tanks would say all damage mitigation and no threat gear makes a bad tank.

Interesting spec. Curious how it would handle something like DM East lasher farming. With that health pool, you could dot pull, set off 4-5 hellfire pulses, life drain the biggest one, and then just rinse and repeat. It wouldn't be as efficient as mage/blizzard pulling, but it should be just as effective.

@Solyad Dude you're insane, the /camp macro doesn't work, so there won't be lasher farming anymore with locks, drain life barely gives anything back, and if you had 5-7 of them on you, thats 30% chance PER auto-attack to push you back and crit you and reck you in general. Soul link30% damage plus vw for 10% reduced melee damage with curse of weakness and stack armour upto 40% reduction and dodge upto 15% also works well, I get around 60 % melee reduction and much more in raid setup. Also for aoe farming, such as elemental air farming In silithus add a paladin for casting gaura and healing and just helpline 10 air elementals at a time for 200g/h 100g each

This is only viable as a farming spec where you sacrifice sucubus or felpuppy when farming low lvl mobs. take improved drain soul/life tap/ curse of agony instead of fell concentration/drain life. triple dot mobs or enemy players and run away

If you ever see this there's one big point. On classic the values of hps could be different then private servers. we have already seen examples already. Like melderon calculated with flametongue weapon (also I'm sure there's more too) things could be scaleing different.

Change hp per 5 for more Stam/. Spell power . Increase your spellpower or defence rating go for tank rings / trinks/ neck and capes . Go for bis damage for main pieces use void first sac resummon quickly and a sac for buff.

I like the idea, I don't say this build is bad, but in my opinon the purpose (PvP or solo content/leveling) for which this build is good there is an even better: the deep demonology Soul Link build. Such as this: classicdb.ch/?talent#IA0bVRbZfxhzGxot Your build relies too heavily on Life Drain which is too easy to be interrupted (even with Fel Concentration). Damage is better to be prevented (with Soul Link) than healed back slowly. Your build might be better for leveling or for lvl 60 solo content I give you that. Obviously neither of these builds are suitable for raiding due to the absence of the essential destrucition talents.
