The Blue door ending is quite one of the best endings in the game. And most of the endings in UD aren't quite as good as the ones in the original. As such, I think it's totally fair to play the original game first, get most of the original endings, and only then play UD, since arguably that's when UD's meant to be played. If you have UD immediately, it distracts you pretty early on after the first few endings you get.

My favorite part about watching someone play The Stanley Parable is that, when someone is going in completely blind and asks the viewers for guidance, the viewers can lie to them all they want, and they'll be none the wiser. "Oh, of course, Mathew, you've managed to pick each and every path that leads to an existential crisis by pure chance and bad luck. It doesn't get any weirder than this, and you've almost seen everything! Go ahead and play for a few more hours, I'm sure you'll find everything in time." But even then, once the viewers have had their fill of lying bald-facedly to the player, and they no longer fall for it, the viewers can then discuss the very nature of lying bald-facedly to the player, causing the player to question if their initial lying truly was lying at all, and whether what the player initially presumed to be reverse psychology regarding the strangeness of the game was truly serious, and they really are close to the end, and have truly seen the worst this game has to offer? Will they ever see everything? Do they ever truly know? And even if there is an ending, is there some developer-intended order as to which the game should be experienced? If not, can the player ever truly, absolutely know "The End"? Would that even BE the end? I actually think it provides a better experience to play the original before the Ultra Deluxe. Not just for the missing content (Portal, Minecraft, the Serious Room ending) but also because I think you can get to the "New Content" in Ultra Deluxe too quickly. You really need to have fully experienced the original to fully appreciate the Ultra Deluxe changes.

What do you mean you don’t know how? Sure, if you know this game you know it’s not a horror but at the start it’s definitely ominous and has creepy vibes. Personally I don’t get scared by traditional horror and find things like liminal spaces and isolation scary and meta narrative in video games give me amazing chills. I completely see why at first he felt horror vibes.

Man, this was my favorite SP playthrough I've seen in a while! You even got one of my favorite endings, the _"Am I real?"_ ending. I really hope you come back to this; there's so much extra stuff to be mind-blown by! I don't want to spoil anything.... BUT I will say, if you obey the narrator UNTIL the VERY end, then do _a little bit of trolling_ at the final option, the end result is very funny :) Also, the fern ending reeaalllly tugs at the heartstrings when you find it, you've got no clue what you're in for.

You poor thing; your first playthrough was very death-heavy! So you’re like maybe 1/3 of the way through the game. Here’s a guide on how to find the different endings: Follow the Narrator - Off Button Follow the Narrator - On Button Follow the Narrator - Escape (this takes you to the credits - do it last) Go to the Warehouse - Jump Go to the Warehouse - Ride Platform - answer your phone Go to warehouse- ride platform - unplug phone Go to warehouse - Ride platform - jump to walkway - Red Door Go to warehouse - ride platform - jump to walkway - Blue door Take elevator down (Adventure line) Jump out the window - yes Jump out the window - no Turn off all computers and go to bosses office Lock yourself out of the bosses office Lock yourself in Stanley’s office Stay in Stanley’s office without closing the door There’s also the Ultra DELUX package that you should not get until you’ve completed the original game because of spoilers. But it doubles the endings.

(If you’re looking for another one with a crazy story, I’d highly recommend Twelve minutes, or something more disturbing like Little Misfortune (phenomenal game)).

If you like this game, you'd probably like Slay the Princess and Superliminal too, as would we like to see you play both. Slay the Princess is a visual novel horror game with a similar emphasis on the push-and-pull of player choice as this game, while Superliminal has a very similar vibe in the "level" design of Stanley Parable. And I'm sure you'd love the horror elements in both - You clearly love trauma; why else would you broadcast yourself being traumatized on a regular basis? 😋
