this song was from muse's album "the 2nd law" which is came out on 2012..the movie came out on 2013..so the movie production choose muse's song..muse didnt make the song for movie..but the movie choose muse's song for movie soundtrack..actually this song is about environment,energy and politic in this world..but somehow this song also perfect for zombie movie😂😂

I like how Muse used the song for the movie World War Z..especially when the plane was landing in Israel and the flag of Israel was visible, while playing the song Isolated System, which has a bit of a Far Eastern feel to it.

Yup, not live. Its really an atmospherica instrumental with news clips to make a point. The whole album is one best listened to from start to finish, eyes closed, alone, with headphones. Definately the most concept of their albums with songs running into eachother and themes reprised.

The live version is better and they do play it only slightly different to the studio version, its an instrumental at the end of the 2nd law with unsustainable, the video you reacted to probably isnt the best to get the full scope of this song and what it means, it was used in the brad pitt film but Matt said the meaning behind this song is - "It's the noise of humanity on a tiny planet in the middle of nothing. Hanging around space would be so peaceful and quiet and suddenly you come to this little blip that's fucking chaos! I see it as drifting away from the planet and going into the peacefulness of what actually is gonna happen at the end of it all, which is nothingness."

I really wanted to hate World War Z as I've read the book, and the movie has almost nothing to do with it, but it wasn't bad. Hopefully they might actually use some of the story they presumably paid $Millions for in the sequel.
