Well done Nate. I’ve gone kayak fishing a lot more than digging this summer. Hitting it tomorrow and thought I could use some motivation, Been dry around Marion the last month or so, but you never know,,,

The military button is general service 1902-present. Great find though, keep digging!

Looks to be a WW2 era button. It didn't seem to have a back mark but if you clean it up and it does have one it will help you better date it. Probably a Waterbury.
