G'day folks. You know I love nothing better than metal detecting with my Minelab Manticore and M8 (mate) coil in a trashy site, so that's what I'm doing this week. The question is, which combo of gold, silver or plastic did I find?

No chance of getting flooded out where I am, unless it gets to Noah proportions, It's amazing how quickly time passes, I was a 66 when I started watching this hunt and near the end I found out I was a 90, I must have nodded off for a good while. I'm pretty sure I've heard a story along those lines but I can't think of the character's name, I believe he was sitting and leaning against a tree, That's going to bug me till I remember, not much hope of that! Hmm! Nathan has some explaining to do me thinks! Well that suspender strap was unusual, that's the first Ive seen with the little cap attached, A nice addition to the finds cabinet. When I first saw the moustache on the ground, I was thinking Batarang, Duna, Nuna Nuna Nuna Batman! Well yep! Once again I've lost the plot. There was coinage to be found But the Gold was not around And the rarest finds of all this day Was the moustache that had got away But it found its place in the end Under the nose Of my detecting friend...

CBK, what I'm noticing when you use an Nox 800 you pretty much know what your digging for. But with the Manticore you have to guess what ya digging up.

That is a fair comment MB7. There are still variations on numbers on the 800 but most of the time you have a good idea of what you are digging with the nox. I don’t worry too much about the numbers on the manticore. I’m watching the 2d screen. As with most, the numbers are just a guide. 😁👍

How good is that Andrew Walk onto a site look down and thank you mam buttons Did that over here in WA seen a huge I mean huge area of tin barrels horse shoes scrap metal nails everything everywhere and I used my eyes and I found ten buttons Some cool rocks small but the biggest was two items a spear tip and a cutting stone in the burned pile it’s in one of my movies two yrs ago I asked the local indigenous peeps if they would like it for the museum but no and I contacted the Perth one no answer so it’s in the shop with Clegy and Mason Newcastle Cool finding a wild silver and a penny nice work I can spend hours just walking around using my eyes again check out some of those old vids You would go bananas on one I found over 6 football fields of old 1800s rubbish I had over 160 glass stoppers 200 bottles every ink well the lot I found pennies and a three pence just looking Love it Sorry for belting on but great memories Cheers 🍻 Crouch

Gday Crouch. It would be great over there with stuff like that. All around Inglewood is much the same. Diggings everywhere around the town and the folks have dumped rubbish everywhere all over them. Howdy Andrew, Your nose isn't big. The rest of you is small . You started out looking for gold and relics but than you notched out everything below 33. The .22 bullet you found rang up 26-27 so than I wondered if you could even find gold using those settings. You got me laughing when you said partifact describing the chinese coin. That's a word that will be popping back into my head when I'm out finding bits of this and that. Mish would have found 2 corset clips attached to a piece of steel it she had been there. Gday Roelf. Thanks for the assessment of my body. I was between 3 modes while I was out there. Even if I use my trash mode which is 33 and below notched out, if I went over gold that was over 2 grams, it would still pick it up if it was within the depth range. Partifact is not my word. UK Detectorist use it but it is a great describing word. Yes I bet she would have found one with two on. Good fun out with Mish. We are both well. Glad to hear that you two are as well.
