Man. You're on fire with the gold! And lol, I knew you would eventually get busted for trying to hunt TVA. It stinks because they own an incredible amount on land here in eastern TN. And everything's new on your truck except the starter. *wink wink* You guys didn't find any clad coins at all or just didn't show them?

JD's Variety Channel We went to that beach last year and no one ever said a thing lol. I think I'll go talk to them and complain some. It's a public swim beach and has nothing to do with Indian burial grounds... It's government owned and pubic property so I'd like to know WHY we can't detect there. I did find a few clad but they were in the second pouch and I forgot to dump it out. Literally like 5 coins maybe. I was skipping the penny and clad dime signals and only digging the high silver tones and lower gold tones.

If you do let me know what they say. And not a bad idea skipping penny and dime signals in the water. :)

Ya TVA owns all the major waterways, they use to give out permits to detect but they stopped that a couple of years ago.its a shame i use to get alot of gold from the beaches.gl & hh

Detecting The South Thanks! Going to make a video soon about why I used the AT Pro over ctx in the water =)

Sweet GOLD!!! TVA rules stink!!!! I know you can get a permit to hunt them but I think they are not giving them out for a while. TVA even owns water rights in north Ga. Funny that a Ga ranger told me he did not care if TVA owns it or not and told me to hunt the water. LOL I was just hunting dry sand which is ok at first.

WildDigger Thanks! Same in MO Matt a lot of places you're not supposed to detect but the rangers just don't care and let you detect anyway.

What camera are you using here? Sounds good and decent closeups

+Mac Swanton Hey sorry for the late reply! Using an HMX-W190 made by samsung. Picked it up at walmart in clearance for really cheap and it has been a great camera. I think I'll make a video soon on my mount system I made if anyone is interested. GL and HH!

That Fed was very lenient; metal detecting is illegal on federal properties; he could've ruined your life by arresting, confiscating your stuff, and fining you. This is the reason I'm in favor of decriminalizing metal detecting. That wouldn't necessarily permit metal detecting on historical sites; but at least the feds couldn't ruin your life for a simple mistake.

ICdigger Actually it wasn't a TVA police that talked to us. It was just a fed that saw us and called the TVA to come deal with us. But after 15 minutes the TVA never showed up so he let us go. He said he was a metal detectorist too and he was probably just jealous that we were in there. I asked if he had ever heard of cutaplug and he said sure I just watched one of his videos a few days ago lmao.
