Good review buddy. I run mine with a tiger standard coil in both H5 and L5 max power levels and with 38 to 40 on pasture and soft dry sand and it's beating all my other detectors Inc my Nox with ease on depth and small gold targets. I got a broken gold chain in 3 parts 14k today in Anolog and Hi setting H5 power and it hit than chain one and a half times deeper than my minelab pro pointer. I have 11 detectors and only my Nautilus Dmc2ba with its large coil larger than the tiger will match this at depth on the beach I'm not joking. Hence why I'm selling my ATX on gumtree currently. A truly amazing detector and easy to use and set up. If Mars bring out another detector I'll be first in line to buy one eased on the Guass I'm using I love it.

Hi Chris. Yes I enjoyed using it and would liked to have been able to keep it longer, but the retailer had a buyer for it. Underrated in my opinion. ATB MMMD

Thanks mate for replying. My main detecting machine is a Xp deus, for all types of reasons.

I would go with the Simplex then, especially if you have the HF coil mate. The Gauss is good but I think it will be sensible to save a few hundred and have a cheaper back up, in my honest opinion. You could always look at the Vanquish and have a multi IQ machine? Just a thought. ATB MMMD

Mud Max Metal Detecting thanks Keith. I will also take a look at the other 2 machines you mentioned. I’m in no real hurry at the moment.

Awesome video as always Keith. Great review my friend. I’m looking for a second machine, so this one is a possibility, I’m also looking at a simplex-+ are they a similar in function and design. I’m sure I’ve seen a video where you used a simplex. Great to see you back out detecting again, after what seemed a lifetime. Thanks Keith for sharing.

Hi Keith, the item at 7.33 may be a Post Medieval knife end cap, similar to this finds.org.uk/database/artefacts/record/id/610692 and this finds.org.uk/database/artefacts/record/id/842513.
