Metal Detecting Street & Sidewalk Tear-Out + Scrape Lot - SILVER & RELICS FOUND!

In this video, we find ourselves on a street & sidewalk tear-out in an older part of town. Despite the Summer heat and super dry ground conditions, we end up finding a few older coins. But once the digging becomes too difficult at that spot, we make our way to a nearby scrape lot and end up finding more goodies, including a bit of silver and a couple of neat relics!

That's a Tarleton State University belt buckle. "Tarleton Cowboys".

Neat hunt. Love the relics, gambling keychain is neat, age? says gambling HALL. That buckle is very neat. Looks like maybe something like rodeo maybe??

Thanks man! Not sure on the age of the Golden Nugget keychain yet. The belt buckle is from Tarleton State University. They are now called the ‘Texans’, but from 1925 to 1961, they were referred to as the ‘Plowboys’.

How’d you get the crust off that wheat penny?

I actually put it in a little vinegar bath. I wouldn’t recommend that for cleaning identifiable coins, or anything that has a chance of being really old or valuable. But if it’s super toasty, it’s a way to loosen up the crud and hopefully get an ID and a date.
