Mr. Chig, You really need to start picking up those melted bottles and offer them on Ebay!! My Dad is an artist and is a retired High School Art teacher. He would always display objects like bottles and other stuff. He found some old melted bottles and exclaimed, many times throughout my life, that they made beautiful, perfect art!! No kidding! You can make money on all those MELTED bottles so start keeping!!! One of your fellow detectors! Papa Murf

Looks great Chigg, we had a good day on the water also found a new bottle honey hole video tomorrow. Love that boat, nobody down this way has ever heard of them or know anything about them, we got some skinny water here they would work great in, don't forget "hold your breath" unless you are SCUBA diving, lol Great job keep up the great work with the animals and the relics!!

Great hunt Chigg. I love the adjustable wrench with the wooden handle still attached. Awesome find buddy. I want to invite you to come to SC and hunt the Catawba river with me. There is ALOT waiting to be recovered here. Boocoos of Catawba Indian Arrowheads. Let's do this my friend. Matter of fact, think I'll head out this evening myself. Great finds Chigg. Stay awesome buddy.

Chigg, think about bringing a Stealth sand scoop sometimes to get those deep in the water targets that are too far down in that dirty water, or a shovel and screen to catch neat stuff like marbles and other non metallic objects etc. Just a thought but great videos of your river explorations. So interesting made even better with your extensive knowledge. Tks so much.

Love that pipe wrench, it's not old (...well) maybe early 1900s. I used to have a couple of them in different sizes including a 6-7" tiny (haha) one that was very cool... 😺

Always enjoy your adventures in the river Chigg, and you finding goodies and Civil War relics. I scored a nice Civil War book this week at our local Goodwill for under 20 bucks. It is, Civil War Times, Photographic History of the Civil War, Vicksburg to Appomattox by William C. Davis and Bell I. Wiley. Sadly they only had the 2nd volume of the two volume set, but I will be keeping my eyes peeled for the 1st volume, you can bet on that! I have been wanting this set for a very long time, to give me a pictorial reference to go along with some of the Civil War letters that have come down in our family. This volume has nearly 2,000 photographic images of the Civil War and since my hubbies 2nd grt. grandpa was at Vicksburg and many of the other battlefields in this volume, I am looking forward to it as a wonderful source of new information. Every time I see you pull up those bullets, I think of what his job as a surgeon must have been like, patching up the boys hit by those bullets, and it never ceases to amaze me anyone could survive being hit by something that size, but they did. He himself was shot by a nearly spent bullet, and survived to fight on until the end of the war, tho with a scalpel not a rifle. His final days of the war were spent as the head surgeon in charge of the hospital in Fort Marshall near Baltimore, Maryland, and I have his records from that hospital. The Fort is long gone now, as you probably know. I believe there is a Catholic church sitting now where the old Fort used to be. Sure wish you could have gone and detected that site before they built the church, but it was way before our time. (The Fort was completely gone by 1869) Wouldn't that have been marvelous tho, just think of what might have been found?! Thanks once again for another delightful Civil War river adventure. Have a great day!

Nice finds Chigg. You found on of my bucket listers. A Conestoga bell. Since I'm so early, maybe you'll see this question. Is it safe to use electrolysis on a very rusted loaded revolver? I found 2 the other day water hunting and I can see one is loaded thru the rot of the cylinder. Yea or nay?
@longhairedcountryboy23635 жыл бұрын
yoman gull If they are badly rusted, I doubt the cartridges pose any danger. I'd try it with little concern. Just set them up pointed in a safe direction, just in case.
