I'm a big fan of rock\metal. A few of my favorite vocalists are Geoff Tate, Bruce Dickinson, Floor Jansen, Anne Wilson, to name a few. I will say, I'm not a fan Arianne's music, but she does have a great voice. This song reminds me of a nursery rhyme set to beats (it is, what it is). It's sad to see her, and other young stars, sexualized - I believe it takes away from their true talent. I would suggest to get a true sense of her talent, give one of the songs mentioned below a listen. And just a suggestion, have you heard Heart sing Stairway To Heaven? Awesome version.

Funny you say she can't be known for her singing lol. She is known for her vocals and has been heavily compared to mariah carey in the past. This song is completely different from anything else she has ever put out. Normally she favors high belts and falsettos, but she is kind of in a "don't give a fuck" mood recently.

In the context of the full album, this song makes more sense. On its face it seems really shallow, but it's actually commentary. Also, as much of a banger as this song is, it's not a good representation of her style or talent.

people are DEFINITELY drawn to her singing as her main thing. 7 rings is probably her weakest song vocally but Ariana is one of the best voices pop has ever had. great to hear your thoughts however but it’s interesting how you’d think otherwise when people love her for her live vocal ability

I saw an snl skit where she sang a lot of different styles and she’s a really good singer. I think the style of song dictates the way she sings on it. Trap is big now a days so a lot of songs borrow from that sound. It’s cool with the kids.
