Same. Although I can see why people are pissed that this doesn’t run at 60fps. The Switch is quite capable of running this on a higher frame rate, but the port is rather lazy and wasn’t optimized. Definitely a step down given it runs at 60fps on other platforms, and I feel like there’s no justifiable reason for it.

It plays exactly like the vita HD version. You can’t map any actions to different buttons. No sensitivity settings. No touch controls. No gyro.

​@@abc2390986Vita controls without being forced to use touch seems like the absolute best. Vita is strangely one of the best versions of MGS3 despite the contortion tricks you have to do to execute some advanced moves.

Looks great, it’s still mgs3 substance but it’s just cool to have it on the go on a system that feels comfortable in handheld (Would love to see a from the ground up remake but that’s not an effort I’m expecting ever)

Yeah, the 30fps is distracting, but as far as I know, the games are otherwise playable. Not my favorite compilation (that honor goes to Atari 50th anniversary), but eh... still worth a look at least. Especially those master books (seriously someone had wat too much time on their hands. Or Konami crunched their schedule).

​@@Desty0007 Was only 60 fps on the HD remake. Original PS2 game was locked at 30. 30 is okay. They could have bumped it up or left it unlocked but it wouldn't have been steady. A steady, locked 30 fps is fine for a 20 y/o game imo.

Because Konami is Lazy AF! I was going to buy this as I wanted it like crazy. But I'm not buying with only 1 game on the cart, no 60fps and they have already said a huge list of bugs will be fixed after launch. It's not like all the games are over a decade old and ran fine on the Xbox 360?

@zanzibar011 switchups review said the tied the pressure controls to the left analog stick I believe. Also in their review mgs 1 can go as low as 20fps when doing certain things. What a joke!

so did they fix the music out of sync issue in this version of mgs3...on the hd ps3/xbox 360 version a lot of the music wasn't times synced...like the snake eater song in the opening...audio was off and it was annoying af

This game pulls 20W just to maintain 60fps on the Steam Deck/OLED.. To give reference: Sekiro at MAXIMUM SETTINGS takes only 17W-18W average to maintain a solid 60fps. MGS3:SE is more demanding than most modern AAAs

yes, in all other platforms the game runs at 60 fps. On Switch the cap is 30fps. Also, the only way to play this game at 1080p is through the ps5 version and Switch docked. Now you have to decide which one suits you the best, PC version will run at more fps than Switch with a lower resolution than ps5 but you will be able to use mods. Ps5 version is the best version but it isnt portable. Switch version is the worst version but you get the portability, losing the 1080p, but you also have the option to play it docked at 1080p. My recommendation is that you shouldnt buy it for switch if you dont have the Oled version, and even so, only if you dont mind playing it at a low res and low fps (basically the ps2 version but it will look better thanks to the oled screen and the vivid mode that comes with it) and, you want to play it on the go. The best version to play it on is the ps5 as you will receive the most fps and res while not having controller problems like in the pc version.

Already own ps vita version. I prefer the larger oled screen and actual rumble. Also playing vita too much will kill it and replacements aren't cheap. I leave vita for vita exclusives and psp/ps1 games.

But then you have to find the roms, deal with torrent sites and pirate bay, which tries to push malware on non tech people. Play the you also don't get to play on the go or on your TV unless you have a steam deck. Ill take the game on switch. It runs I have it on vita an played it there too. It was like 720x480 resolution in that.
