I mean to be fair, "it's fun to play" is getting a lot harder to find these days, since it's sandwiched between the sea of triple A games that haven't actually innovated in over a decade, and the sea of indie games that either try too hard to be dramatic or try too hard to put too many gimmicks in that they end up a chore to play.

For someone who listens to this kind of music more than regularly this was a very nice breath of fresh air. I love that the game devs got actual big named vocalists for the songs. It's just frustrating not being great at keeping the combo meter up so I'm mostly getting instrumentals and not their vocals but when the boss fights kick in and you get the whole song for the fight it's a blast. A little sad at how short the game is but definitely recommended if you like games like Doom and you like heavy metal

Yahtzee's quips were especially high quality this video. Great stuff. I will say, I think the Marauder works great in Eternal as a way to put the player on their toes in such a brawl-heavy game, but a shield enemy in a rhytmn shooter like this does sound strange. Now that ACTUALLY would obstruct the pacing of the game.
@Conqtorias2 жыл бұрын
The closest I got to fighting one and it not feeling like a garbage pacekiller is when I happened to get a decent rhythm of dash-shoot-dash-shoot with the shotgun, but you can only really do that if he's the only guy on the stage otherwise you're inviting free hits from every other guy in the arena. Marauder is great, this random shield schmuck shows up too many times and requires either extremely passive play (poke at unprotected gun arm from forever away) or extremely aggressive play (aforementioned shoot-dashing) and neither feels quite right when you're working on a cosmic beat.
