Your tutorials are basically brilliant, I've been a patreon of yours for a while, but I just wanted to tell you how much I enjoy the stuff you produce. This one help me do a mix for a band while I was pressed for time, and it produced a mix the band loved. So thanks, and keep up the great work!

Would you be interested in doing a short tutorial on how to mix live drums? I'm a drummer and there are NO KZbin tutorials on how to mix metal drums without samples. You could send me some music tracks, even program drum tracks like you always do, then I could play them on my live kit and you could show us how to make them metal as fuck without samples. That would be the greatest thing since the solo mode in Pro-Q!!
@mile01415 жыл бұрын
the mixing process for drums and drum samples isn't that different.

Thank you for the really nice stuff, man! I enjoy all your guides, they have proven to be VERY helpful! Could we ever expect a mixing guide for a track with synths or even orchestral instruments and stuff? Something like Shape of Despair if you are into that stuff.

First tone I didn't like. With every new Cannibal Corpse record there is always making of, which gives enough knowledge and isolated guitar sound samples. You should start with some Dual Rectifier boosted with Metal Clone vst or POD Farm's Metal Zone copy. Then make second layer on each side with Dual Rectifier boosted with any TubeScreamer vst. You don't have enough compression, enough gain, enough "sand" and producer Erik Rutan always use quadrupled guitar tracking. You nailed the drum sound pretty well, so with little tweaking of vsts and 2 more guitar tracks it will be much better :) Anyway thumb up and thank You for your efforts!

+Łukasz Klat first of - man, really, big fucking thanks to you for name of that guy. I watched the shit out of their studio diaries and lmao from that dude. Now I can search more about him cause I finally know his name :D Speaking of tones - I know about dual recto and metal zone, but if you ever used revalver IV you must know that that rectifier sounds like shit (the one from III version was great, but this one is fucking garbage or I just suck at this :D. Quadro track could be good idea, but there is nothing in my gear to emulate that stuff with metal zone so I did what I did. Sliced entire album to pieces and give it analysis. So I did my best on guitars, I'm sorry about this, but it's really best that I can do here. Thanks for your comment, hope to make you happy next time :D

+Death Culture Metal Production Haha, not knowing Erik Rutan is big faux paus - he produce top shelf modern death metal in USA, he played guitar in Morbid Angel and now in Hate Eternal. Anyway - I restring guitar this week, I could record 4 guitar tracks for whole song "To know Our Enemies" of Hate Eternal, solo included. I also nailed Derek Roddy's drum sound with Addictive Drums 2 and some tone matching. I could even record bass and vocal... I could send You all the stuff and You will try to emulate mix and guitar tones. There is new Vadim Taranov moded jcm800 vst, worth checking I think. Let me know what do You think about this Polish - Russian collaboration? :)

Спасибо за жирный звук, как всегда :) Извини, если повторю за кем-либо, но: Зачем monodelay? Разве в Cubase нет кнопки компенсации задержек плагинов или дело в другом?
@DeathCultureStudio8 жыл бұрын
+Андрей Вадимович да, все это есть, но тут момент в том, что помимо задержек самих плагинов - есть еще фазовые сдвиги и деформации огибающих, никак не зависящие от компенсации задержки

I've been playing bass through a shitty amp for 3 years 'cause I'm not that pro and I didn't mind jazzy bass sound. I want to get the Webster tone, now that I'm really into death metal. How much would it cost to get the bass tone from 4:55 ? Can't I just try to use my pc as a bass amp? What software would you recommend for that?

anyway i can get this ound with amplitube like the mesa boogie or something? havent found abrutal clean sound yet while using a 3rd gen scarlett 2i2 and amplitube any help is appreciated!! Stay Brutal
@DeathCultureStudio4 жыл бұрын
Sure. I think it completely depends of your guitar tone. I use 1st gen Scarlett 2i2 myself and never had any problems with it. Just make sure to use good guitar with fresh strings. You may try to use isolated parts of the album (I think this was Skeletal Domain) to match the tone. Just play the same thing and then match it to the reference with any kind of Matching EQ (Pro-Q3 can do that, Izotope Ozone Match EQ is designed for this). What do you mean by brutal clean though?

Kasparas Voludskis it's real instrument
@thrasher20946 жыл бұрын
Kasparas Voludskis It's tuned down to G# or A# (Cannibal Corpse) which is very hard to do with 6 strings. They have custome size fret scales to suit the tuning, aswell as a lot of their floyd rose bridges modded to intonate right and use tubr screamers with their triple rectifiers to get an ultra heavy sound. The EMGs really help cut through and they manage to still have one of the heaviest tones ever without it being flubby
