Wintersun is basically Jari Mäenpää. Other band members are practically long term session musicians only, just playing the stuff that Jari has designed. And yes, you have to be very talented to be able to play those songs live which is why he has world class musicians playing in the band.

🖤🙏 I got to know to Wintersun in 2019 as well so waiting for 5 years was not a biggie for me. Time II was easily worth waiting for 12 years. I recall from some documentary Jari explaining his vision as "an insane wall of sound with tight heavy guitars, massive bass and, drums and creating another universe around all that heavy stuff with shitload of synthesizers, samples and orchestration and getting all that chaos working perfectly together, as controlled chaos" We can certainly hear his vision today, as promised.

Thank you so much for reacting to this album! The long wait is finally over, and it was so worth it. I smiled so much seeing you enjoying the album, and couldn't help but cry (again) along with you at Silver Leaves. Silver Leaves is definitely the most emotional Wintersun song I've ever heard - Loneliness was sadder, but this one hit deeper in my experience, because Time is finally complete. The bitter aftertaste listening to Time I is finally gone. No matter how much I loved it, the long wait for its second part left a void, and now that void is no more. It ends where it started, and the cycle is complete. Very fitting. Have a safe trip to Japan! And may this gem of an album forever remind you of your trip there. (Just assuming you won't have been able to stop listening to it at that point)

Eastern sounds needed some getting used to, even though they were present in Time I, but here they're way more visible, which was a bit unfamiliar territory for me.
