The last boss is the biggest roadblock in a deathless run. You can easily trap yourself with his fireballs; the key to preventing that is figuring out exactly when he's going to fly up and start firing rapidly. There's a gap between the slow and fast attacks, so if you can get into the corner just as the slow fireballs end, you'll be able to slide under the spam towards the other side of the screen. This works fairly consistently, but sometimes I still end up getting trapped by a bad angle on his attack. It takes some luck to get through it.

Albeit being a rushed product with some flaws, it's still an okay metal slug entry The music is one of the main highlights for it, difficulty spikes hard the moment you reach mission 4 It's poorly tested for two players too

Just one question, are you on the game on PS4 version of Metal Slug Anthology ? If so how was the game performance in term of response with control. I heard that the port had bad reception about unresponsive control but I don't know if they have fixed it yet ? Thanks

No, I'm playing on MAME. Some of my friends tell me the Anthology has a lot of input delay, so it's not a good way to play these games. Your best bet is probably the Arcade Archives versions, I think they're all on there except for Metal Slug 6.

@@kizu9972 I think I just changed the dip switch to always display the difficulty level. Plus autofire, though I'm not sure if I did that through MAME or my arcade stick.
