⚡ / 🔥 😱 🔥 That was a sixteen year old Su crushing that performance. She premiered the song the night before, at Budokan Red Night. Rondo is easily in my top five BABYMETAL songs. Su performed three solos that night. She did 'No Rain, No Rainbow', followed by 'Akatsuki' earlier in the set. Yui and Moa (as Black BABYMETAL) did two songs without Su ('4 no Uta' and 'Onedari Daisakusen'), and they all performed a bunch of songs together. That Black Night Budokan concert from March 2014 is still one of my favorite BABYMETAL concerts. Not only is Su brave enough to sing and dance on a tiny elevated platform in the dark, but she is also fearless enough to follow those amazing Kami Band solos.

Oh I was writing the same thing but I couldn't remember her name or character name. Everything Japanese is connected. Oh you like Anime? Maximum the Hormone did two songs for Death Note. The voice actress for Hatsune Miku is in Attack on Titan. Hanabie covered Ado and Deco27. Every Japanese Vtuber does covers of Vocaloid (Hatsune Miku).

@@Jordan-Ramses @Minstrel Blood even crazier when you dive into like ichika, who has a band ichikoro, which has the bassist and guitar player from gesu no kiwami otome, who share a bassist with dadaray, of which the bassist is also independently famous for his stint on terrace house. It's wild how much the Japanese music scene flows. It stems from the live house culture. When I saw yonige live, she was in the crowd for her opening band just singing and dancing in the crowd having fun and she knew all the words to the other bands songs, they all know each other and just intermingle and support each other. It's really cool.

Nice reaction. This is one of Babymetals darkest songs lyrically speaking. And the performance WOW. They did throw away the Kawaii for this. The camera shots for this are amazing as well. That shot where it looks like Su is floating in the air for example. Very Cool. Su really gets to show off her talent and skills here. Belting out power notes and dancing on a platform 6 feet up with lights in her face. Not easy. The Kamiband summoning Su from the depths of the stage with their solos. You couldn't see the audience because I think they were blown away. lol and stunned by what they just witnessed. This is how Babymetal does epic level. I can't wait to see what they do this January 2023. Goosebumps just thinking about it.

It was written by Yuyoyuppe. He was a Vocaloid producer before Babymetal. This is the one Babymetal song with Vocaloid lyrics:) Most of the best Vocaloids are dark AF for some reason. Yuyoyuppe should do a Vocaloid version it would fit right in. It never hurts to promote your music to a different audience.

@@Jordan-Ramses but are they as dark as Shinsei Kamattechan?
@Jordan-Ramses Жыл бұрын
@@delbomb3131 I don't know. But they are very dark. Beheading Dance is about a time when a group of Samurai had a dispute with a brothel and beheaded all the prostitutes and everyone in the town. Hatsune Miku is the vengeful spirit of a prostitute. At one point she asks 'where is the body I was born with?'. I like Beheading Dance. The one that is too dark for me is about a girl who is being slowly eaten by her father. Gomenne Gomenne. There is a song Hide and Seek Envy about a child who is being abused and wants to run away during a game of hide and seek but her parents won't let her. The Fox's Wedding is a great song. It's just about a female Ghost that wants to have sex with you and eat you and devour your innards. Nothing too dark. Or Evil Food Eater Conchita is about an evil countess who starts eating a bunch of rare animals, then her chefs and then herself. It has a happy ending. But they aren't all dark. There are happy Vocaloid too. Viva Happy by Mitchie M or Luka Luka Night Fever is a great Dance song. It's 13 years old and hot girls are still making Dance covers of it. Although Viva Happy does contain the line 'I cry every night and talk to myself'.

Great reaction. Queen Su, aged just 16 at the time, rising up from below the stage and courageous enough to follow that intro from the Kami Band - and not only to follow it but then making the stage her own. This was only the second time she had performed this song live - first time was the night before, but she made it look and sound like she'd been singing it for years. The Kami Band that night were Leda Cygnus (blue guitar), Takayoshi Ohmura (gold guitar), BOH (it is a 6 string bass) and Hideki Aoyama (drums). 'Rondo of Nightmare' is possibly their darkest song lyrically. Rondo is a musical term meaning something like a repeated theme. They have borrowed the term as Su is caught in a recurring nightmare being chased through the dark by something she can't see. Finally she hides in or by a well or a fountain but it is still coming closer and, accepting there is no escape, she asks that if she is to die won't it at least show itself first.

This was the video which made me say: I NEED to see the live ! And so I did, multiple times.

You only get the intro in live performances and here we get The Kami Band doing the "Mischiefs of the Metal Gods" intro with Aoyama Hideki (drums), BOH (6 string bass), Takayoshi Ohmura (7 string gold guitar), Leda Cygnus (blue guitar). RON is one of Su's solos that allow her to show her individual talent and give the other two girls, Moa and Yui, a chance to rest. This concert is Budokan Black Night in 2014 so Su was just 16 years old. Maybe next listen to another one of their prog metal songs, "Tales of the Destinies at the Tokyo Dome". It's interesting you mention "Alice in Borderland". Others have pointed out that Ayaka Miyoshi is in that show and she was a founding member of Sakura Gakuin with Su, Moa and Yui, but there's another connection as the initial, short lived, working title for this song was "Kill the Alice" as the lyrics have similarities to Alice's Adventures in Wonderland and falling down holes etc. RON is a very dark song where Su is chased by something she cannot escape. The repetitive nature of a "rondo" makes this even more frightening and that's explicitly said in the lyrics. I think that the changing time signatures and dissonance of the music are there to make us feel uncomfortable and keep us off balance. The final chorus is as unsettling as the time signatures and offers no happy resolution: It flickers slowly appearing and disappearing in my mind. A nightmare rondo is being repeated. The awakening light is gone far away out of my sight. I can do nothing but fall into the darkness. Some reviewers mention that the song ends very abruptly and that it's hard to settle into...the lyrics imply that there's no hope of waking, but that's often what you feel when you are in a nightmare and then you wake as suddenly as the song ends.

So good to see you're back and not being deterred by the annoying copyright block, I know is hard and hopefully this won't suffer the same fate of some of your other reactions. You missed our queen SuMetal b-day on December 20 but is all good, we're glad to have you around this special month for us, double special for me.🥳🎊🏆⚽ _Akumu No Rondo_ combines not only heaviness with dark waltz and dope time signatures changes but also delicate and fragile beautiness that makes you wants to grab your inception kit and go to rescue this 16 yo queen from this nightmare. Temporarily title song was "Kill The Alice" so is like Alice but instead of Wonderland she's trapped in a nightmare trying to escape and avoid some evil entity. Rondo is a musical form in which you can hear a repetitive pattern, you can hear an example of this in the song "Blue Rondo a la Turk" The Kami Band doing their second magnificent intro of the night with their own set called "Mischiefs Of Metal Gods". They become regular after this special live at Budokan 2014 and leaving baby-bones, from early shows, behind, shout-out to them thou. Many people forget this was the day (night) after the first live premiere of this song and she's dancing and performing like she already did a dozen of times before, like a pro. Also she's showing some fierceness here dancing on that high dangerous mini stage with no wire and that's how she keeps winning everyone's heart. But not everything was perfect here despite their impeccable performance and sound, and the day before the girls face that dangerous challenge on the stage, taking their own revenge after coming back in 2021 to celebrate their 10 years and leaving those ghosts behind, fortunately. YuppeMetal (aka Yuyoyuppe) is the one behind this song and he took inspiration from "Protest The Hero - Bloodmeat" song, of course i recommend you to hear that Thanks for sharing this wonderful SuMetal solo and my favorite along with _"Akatsuki"_ Keep watching all their solos because all 4 of them are beautiful and of course the rest of the girls under a subgroup called "Black Babymetal" are enjoyable too, so don't miss out their other 4 songs too. Since this was from 2014 i think maybe Alice in Borderland took some inspiration from BM, but there's two fun fact about that, in that series one of the Japanese actress was former Sakura Gakuin member just like SuMetal and the girls here and she was a founding member and partner, her name is Ayaka Miyoshi; the other "Alice" thing i already mentioned. Btw if you want to know more about them you can watch *"A BabyMetal Guide"* by CrypticMisery, is the most updated guide and is among majority of BM fans the most structured and well focus on the informative side. Late Merry Xmas and happy new year for you. See you next time.🦊🤘🎆

Rondo is my favorite of Su's solo songs, and this performance of it is particularly impressive given that she's up on that rather hazardous looking stage rig in the dark, and this was only to he second time she had performed it live. It's crazy how polished a performer she was at such an a young age. Since you've now checked out one of Su's solo songs, you should watch one of Black Babymetal's (Yui and Moa without Su) songs; I nominate Onedari Daisakusen.

About Alice in Borderland... Miyoshi Ayaka, that actress who portrays Ann (the forensic scientist) was in Sakura Gakuin with Su, Yui and Moa. She was part of the news club and interviewed Babymetal right when they were put together. She even performed as Babymetal in an event where the club members switched around in Sakura Gakuin. So... yeah, bald dude may look like Boh, but that show has a way deeper connection to Babymetal.

It contains two concerts performed at Nippon Budokan shortly after the release of the band's eponymous debut album, and was released on January 7, 2015 in a standard edition and a limited-edition box set exclusively for "The One" fanclub members. Nippon Budokan:- Nippon Budokan (日本武道館, Nippon Budōkan), often shortened to simply Budokan, is an indoor arena located in Chiyoda, Tokyo, Japan. Originally built for the inaugural Olympic judo competition in the 1964 Summer Olympics, its name translates as Martial Arts Hall in English. While its primary purpose is to host martial arts contests, the arena has gained additional fame as one of the world's most iconic musical performance venues. A number of famous rock music acts have played at Budokan. The Beatles were the first rock group to play there in a series of concerts held between June 30 and July 2, 1966. ABBA ended their last tour there. Their final show on March 27, 1980, was the last live concert ABBA performed together. Numerous acts have recorded live albums at Budokan, including Bryan Adams, Bob Dylan, Eric Clapton, Cheap Trick, Dream Theater, Duran Duran, Kiss, Mr. Big, Ozzy Osbourne, Judas Priest, Journey and Deep Purple. Thanks again from Japan 有難う💛。"Rondo" is a musical form with a recurring leading theme. I can't tell how many times I have viewed this video. It is literally a rondo of happy dream for me. Kamis' (=Gods') super solos were excellent enough as a main event in the show, but once the 16-year-old Queen (as of 2014) emerged from the underground, she colored everything differently with her penetrating voice then turned Kami Band's plays into a ritual to summon her.

This was another really great reaction. you have already a lot of info in the comments from other Babymetal fans so I'll add something different (hopefully) This is 1 of 4 Su-Metal's solo songs, others being - "Akatuki", "Amore" and "No Rain No Rainbow" There are also 4 Black Babymetal songs (Yuimetal and Moametal withouth Su) they are heavier than most other songs they have. "Sis. Anger", "GJ", "Onedari Daisakusen" and "4 no Uta" (aka "Song 4") Last thing, there are 5 songs with the Kami band intro, like "Rondo of Nightmare" depending on the live show you look up, the intro will slightly differ, but the songs are - "Yava", "Awadama Fever", "Catch Me If You Can" and "Kagerou" (a song after Yuimetal had left and The Western Kami band was introduced). Last side note "Akatsuki" has also an "Unfinished Version" (performed only once) so when or if you work yourself up to that song I sincerely hope you'd do a double feature of both versions. You wouldn't be disappointed.
