The swimmer is a real free diver (like Floor) they can stay under water for minutes and don't need to decompress and go more than 110 meters deep (because they don't breath O2/NO2) The images of those creatures are edited in of course. A lot of reactors complain that Floor does not sound dominant in the chorus, but it's with a purpose for sure. In the chorus it's the ancestors bringing the message, Floor and choir. We are the perfume of the timeless, but yet we will be the timeless for new perfumes from our offspring to come. Beautiful message. Thanks for your great reaction sir!

First of all, the song is pure fire. The video director Ville Lipiläinen has been in charge of a bunch of Nightwish live concert recordings. I must say, he's stepped thing up here, the video is full of visual jokes, being still very fitting to the song.

Most are Lyric videos with great visuals and one full on music video with the band for the song "Noise." Also disc 2 of the last album are a set of orchestral compositions Tuomas wrote about our planet. They have not changed but grown. Tuomas is the genius creator here and still doing his thing, but like a good wine he is aging in all the right ways. I see no signs of his geniality reaching its limits. He also has the sense to surround himself with the best people who are on the same wave length as he is and enable him to realise his dreams and ambitions and just make the music he hears in his head and visualise it in the videos that are produced under the name of Nightwish.

We are a part of something - what was before us & what will be. How life has evolved to survive. WE WERE HERE. Within decades we must close our eyes again. Isn't it a noble, an enlightened way of spending our brief time in the sun, to work at understanding the universe and how we have come to wake up in it?" Greetings. So let's start with this album being the final book in a 3 part series. The first was "Endless Forms Most Beautiful" released in April 2015, "Human :Ii: Nature" released in April 2020, and "Yesterwynde" to be released in September 2024. The theme of the series is life and evolution. FYI; Tuomas was studying to be a marine biologist before forming Nightwish, and developed a love for it which carried well into the foundation of the band. This is why many of his lyrics hint of waterfalls, seas, oceans, or water in general. Even live, he designs the lighting to give the feeling of being inside the ocean depending on the song. But something tells me he had a lot of fun coming up with the visuals for this video. Unfortunately, the word is that they're not going to tour in support of this album. Or at least there is no word yet on when they will begin touring again. This actually explains the late album release (Sept. 20). Cool reaction! 👍 Thank you for the video, reaction and comments. Stay safe and stay blessed. 😊❤️🤘🤘.

Ayup. COVID-19 postponed and delayed their tour for the previous album to a point they went pretty much straight to studio after it (and to maternity leave in case of Floor) so they need a break. A year ago they were still on tour for the previous album and now the new one is about to come out. They are not that young anymore, their bodies need to rest sometimes.

That said, I, too, would like to see them live. I have not seen them live since Tarja left and based on KZbin videos Floor would be worth seeing despite the tickets being expensive. Unfortunately, no tour for this album. I could see them taking the odd festival slot but a full tour isn’t in cards. Tuomas said they needed a break. Plus with all of Floor’s health issues recently (cancer, abdominal surgery, pregnancy) I think it’s wise to slow down for a little while. Touring is brutal. Edit: What I would love to see is them do one huge concert with the new material and do a full recording. It’s been too long since we got a live album.

For me it's an evolution from the Nightwish of Human :II: Nature, rather than revolution or stasis. I wonder about Tuomas' composition process with the departure of Marko (who used to do a lot of work on the demos) and Pip Williams (who did the orchestral arrangements), but I never worried about the result, I just hope he's happy. Generally I would always recommend reacting to live performances, but there are exceptions: _Noise_ MV is the biggest, followed by _The_ _Islander_ MV, then _Elan_ MV.. Also, I recommend the lyric video for _Harvest,_ which has Troy on lead vocals (ably supported by Floor and Marko). And if you feel like a last farewell to Marko, the lyric video for _Endlessness,_ which they are now very unlikely to ever play live.

Here are all Nightwish music videos in chronological order, if you're interested. Read the description. kzbin.info/aero/PL02sWyiANGVoggzm6jflIOCdnp7VIIog9 The first three are pretty low-budget, just a warning 😅. Many of them are just the band playing in various locations, but they get more interesting over time :) Though all of them are interesting to me, I like watching the band grow up. Still, basically none of them are like this. There are some epic ones, though, just differently.

The grand bazaar (yes, the free tea the merchants offer you is safe to drink...and good). And the first thing you should learn in Turkish: "I already have a carpet".
@missrubyphoenix6 ай бұрын
The video is fascinating, as it starts with the big bang (tying TGSOE and Shoemaker with those space shots) a cosmogony bit, then continues with the reptile that jumps into the water, the very source of life. The detailed fact of what it takes for us to exist is just mindblowing. Ngl, the open shot of the diver floating in the ocean tickled my anxiety, especially as the light/bait on the giant anglerfish's head becomes slowly visible (terrifying as heck) Next step in the evolution process, are the primitive organisms changing time and time again, creating many different species, including the homo sapiens sapiens, the toolmaker, the human we are today, (aka Tuomas), it also shows the raw, predator-prey dynamic. The section on the natural history museum is my favourite. The fossils are super cool, and the old-looking encyclopedias stand beautifully on the shelves. Floor's free fall into her own history pages reminded me of Élan, loved seeing the different shots, like multiple sides of her. Then back to the water, finally, a sort of fusion between her and Tuomas appear to be the first "curious ghosts" to explore the museum, though Kai's is already there, reading (The Portrait of Dorian Gray? I mean, because of how his face turned into a skull), I'm not sure how he got there though, but I'm guessing that every time the diver comes out of the water, it represents each of them. Emppu's journey took me by surprise, he seems to be a peculiar jellyfish, though it makes sense, the man himself is quite peculiar in the best way. Troy observing and gently reaching out to the butterflies is a lovely scene, like cherishing the smallest, most fragile living beings. A badass breakdown, mixed with visuals that gave me Procession vibes. Jukka's ghost disintegrating like that gave me the idea of "ashes to ashes, dust to dust". The last shot of the diver floating with the whales is beautiful, I've always loved their calls/songs. Then, everything comes to a full circle with that drop of water that nurtures the earth. At the end of our journey through this world, we will go back to where we came from. We become one with mother nature.

With NW, please do not make a mistage of not listening to studio stuff. You will loose a lot of their genious if you skip albums. You have instrumental versions available from ’Once’ onward. Those are giving additional oppening to Tuomas’ mind.

So far I'm maybe 10 views into the video. Each time I catch something new. This is beyond amazing. Tuomas's brilliance is all over this piece. It helps to print the lyrics to discover the beauty but there's alot more going on than the beauty of the message. This just stunning. BTW, you've been around long enough to appreciate Tarja singing NEMO during the End of an Era concert. I love Floor beyond words but it was Tarja that introduced me to Nightwish maybe 7 years ago. IMO, we can't forget the contribution Tarja and Anette made to Nightwish. This band has been blessed with 3 world class singers
