Hello, I'm glad to see you again! For us, Nightwish fans, it is truly a moment of celebration, to listen to the first single from the 10th album. From yesterday until now, I have continuously followed the flow of reactions to this music video, and the comments have been largely positive, which makes me happy. An observation: the "spirits" in the video are the real members of the band, present as "curious ghosts", as one of the lyrics says. The "spirit" who caught butterflies at one point, singer and multi-instrumentalist Troy Donockley from the UK, is the one you heard in the last minutes of the song. Personally, it seems obvious to me what he is doing, giving another (much more serious) value to the song through the quality of his voice, with the same lyrics performed triumphantly by Floor before. I hope you will return to Nightwish at some point. Maybe on the next song released from their new album, maybe (I hope) sooner... maybe "Everdream", a song dedicated to an ideal love, will tempt you... :)

I've heard a lot of negativity about the last album but I love them. Bands evolve. This song was not meant to showcase Floor. Also, I'm quite sure the other songs will be different. Not everyone has to love NW or even all of their songs. There are some I prefer but this band is undeniably talented.

I really like their songwriting of the last albums. It is a positive accepting way of looking at earth, live and time. There is so much negativit around, that we sometimes forget to look what we already accomplished, what beauty we can see in the present and what we want to pass on. To me that is what perfume of timeliness is about. Ps we have pet tarantulas hahaha so I cannot relate

I've not seen anyone comment (I know, probs not read enough, righ?). About how the end with the drops from the tree, tie back to the 1st drop falling at the beginning. That this COULD mean the single voice of Troy at the end is the one reading about the ancestral tree that he was the culmination of. That this could be the reason for this end section. The last bit going into the depths, representational of the thoughts of this person continuing deep into this train of thought and exploration.

Nice reaction! As musician myself, I hoped you would analyse the composing more, because it is pretty stunning. The pah-pah..pah-pah of the choir in the beginning (B minor-G minor_ A minor-F minor are a red thread threw the whole song. The piano picks it up, Floor sings her lyrics in these notes but more extended, Emppu's riff picked it up, the violins and even the harp. They were also leading notes in the harder part. The diver is real. Free diving (without O2-No2 breathing and diving more than 110 meters deep, which is impossible with scuba diving , there is no need for decompression) They can stay under water for 4-5 minutes and these people feel home underwater. It's an extreme sport and the singer Floor also loves free diving. It's not fake, of course the underwater creatures were :D

This is what unconstrained genius looks and sounds like. Tuomas is a visionary and he does exactly what he pleases and goes wherever his muse takes him. It's on us to keep up and follow along. That he leaves many behind is no surprise. This... this composition is fucking epic. And it's as deep as the Marianas Trench. This world, this existence is awesome if you take the time to grasp for understanding. The glittering beauty of mathematics, music as the voice of God, the natural world with its "endless forms most beautiful". It's all there for the beholding. But you have to reach out grasp it, you must have a savage thirst for comprehension as the price of admission.

I'm sure others loved it instantly but i take my time. Nightwish is unique and not every song is the same. Tuomas became a tree guess his tree friend that holds up his keyboard will have a friend lol. Troy sung the last part and the music went quite only some keys and choire effects. Some reactors feel Floor singing wasn't mixed that well as it blended to much with the music making it harder to here her vocals clearly purhaps this was done on purpose but you could here Troy's vocals clear.

I just can't listen to their newer material, it's boring (sorry...). In this song, the breakdown part was nice. Nightwish's drummer is the same drummer of Wintersun, which is one of my favorite bands, he's much more impressive there. I own 14 tarantulas btw so I can't say I'm bothered like some.(please don't block me 🤣) I understand the fear though. I'm absolutely terrified of wasps. 🥶 Most flying insects disgusts me tbh. Also, you're teasing me with that awesome shirt haha. I was trying to get some people to react to that album last year when it had it's 30th anniversary but had no luck,. Might be the reverb they drowned everything in. Being honest, well, I can't say one is better than the other. They're so different that comparing them that way is a bit unnecessary.
