I mean, Jimin's voice is so different from everything I've heard. Serendipity is one of my favorite BTS solos. I love it so much I learned how to perfectly sing it and dance. Its too beautiful. When I looked up the meaning of Serendipity I felt in love even more! woaaah don't forget Namjoon and Bang PD writing the beautiful lyrics. I feel like I'm in a beautiful daydream when Im listening to it on my headphones.

Catch the Road To D-Day with Suga if you haven't already as Steve Aioki has a shine to BTS in his house!!! That part was so funny. Three of the best songs and I absolutely love "Mic Drop". DNA was my granddaughters favorite and she would go around their house whistling it. It was the first time she tried to tell me who was who and would laugh every time I got it wrong. She had already been watching for years but for a newcomer it almost made me just give up trying to figure out who was who. Now it's like what do you mean it's hard to tell them apart..lol. They just keep getting better!! Imagine what 2025 will bring, can't wait to find out!!!

As a newbie, the first time I could recognize each member was during the 64th Grammy Awards when they performed Butter with their hair slicked back off their faces. I watched it over and over -- such a fabulous performance -- and ever after I was able to tell them apart.

I cried the first time I heard Serendipity. Not because it sounded like a sad song, but because I never knew such a song would make me feel like I’m safe. It’s like being wrapped up in a warm blanket on a cold rainy/windy day. I didn’t understand the words behind the lyrics (I do now), but the combination of instrumental melody with his voice makes this song truly a masterpiece with each listen. If they ever release it on vinyl, I’m going to end up broke gifting everyone that I know with it. 😂

As a newbie I went through the exact same thing....I had a hard time trying to recognize the members.....but after time I was able to recognize them from the back or different angles without seeing their faces....i believe alot of ARMY go through it as well.....#OT7

The best thing about watching their mvs in chronological order is seeing each member develop their individuality, both musically and aesthetically.. A lot of kpop groups dont get to do this unfortunately so its refreshing

YES. I have a VERY hard time remembering faces & names, even with people I meet in person. With the somewhat weird exceptions of RM and Jin (I honestly don't know WHY my brain could pick them out so easily, but not the others) I was hopelessly lost with the Tannies for, like, a month. It didn't help that I wasn't watching things sequentially, and it took me an EMBARRASSINGLY long time to realize their hair colors were different in almost every MV I watched. John, I had *charts.* It was so sad.

Mic Drop is THE song that made me fall into a rabbit hole. Aside from the complete badass-ery, the song structure and melodies are so unlike anything I've ever heard before. Not to mention the choreography!

Same, though for me it was Dynamite that started my descent into the BTS rabbit hole! With their different hair colours in their comebacks it took me, maybe a day or 2 to figure out who’s who! And that was by watching it over and over and over until I was about to discern the different singing/rapping voices of the boys! I am quite happy that I didn’t get discouraged as they have become my happy place! 😁 BTW, I enjoy watching your videos, you exude a certain joie de vivre! Until the next time! 👋🏽

Some army actually think the MV is connected to the BU. U should check out the dance practice u can get to see the whole choreo there. They are fab!!! By the way their DNA chain dance move was used by another dance crew in World of Dance. When I saw this MV i was blown away. 0.0 i was like wait wait i know that move, lol. Another reactor thought this song was not deep. But their love for Army is dang deep to us army. Like they saying they are our soulmates and they are each other soulmates!!! Gosh i can't i am mush! They so sweet! We just got a demo version of this song on their new anthology album Proof it's sung by one of the members and i hear it's very different than this one. I am excited to hear it. They slay in any genre. To me it's we are all connected by DNA. That army and BTS are connected. It's a beautiful thing this bond. DNA camera work was reused in Suga's Shadow and in JHopes More MVs. Jhope is the one who learns the choreo in minutes while the others take hours. After a week i could tell who was who. Their facial structure is different. I am into details. i am also an artist. =0p No issues. I ignored the hair color and style. flyushkifly said on 10/?/22 You know how there is some controversy around their 3 English songs and how western-targeted they are? Believe it or not, DNA was the first that stood out as targeted to appeal to the western market. They debuted it live at the 2017 AMAs and it had a mixed reception with ARMY's. It's so weird to look back at that time! Good reaction(MIC DROP). ty. Mic Drop: It's a slap in the face for their haters by saying they're at a point where it doesn't matter what you say because your words don't matter anymore. It's also a flex song by pointing out how many trophies they have because at this point they'd need a U-Haul to get them all. Just for an example, in Korea there are weekly music shows by various stations and the winner gets a trophy. Dynamite has 36 (I think) award show wins and that's without any promotion on their end. Fun fact: Mic Drop was inspired by President Obama's mic drop when he left office. =0] Never saw that live very cool. But I know about the dance break they added. There is a practice video for that. And they have performed this song with the new choreo for a while now. I saw another live with it. It is a perfect addition to the original choreo though they just made it harder as usual. =0p So glad u loved this song like I do. Imajin all the purple said on 2/17/22 - Fun fact: When Suga drops the mic live it's an extra fake mic and Jin taps his mic for the sound. 🤭 - This is from the famously fandom-nicknamed "Dior performance". Their outfits were specially created for each of them for this tour by one of Dior's youngest, hippest designers, Kim Jones who really likes them. - I can't wait for you to dive further into the rap line... Mic Drop is sort of the 5th Cypher which is why they say "the last farewell". They were just done with addressing the haters. 😏😎 - The Dior Performance of Outro: Tear is a rap line must. The song is from when they thought about disbanding and their emotions really show. 💔

I watched a video in my early days to help tell them apart. It went over the facial characteristics of eahcc membe andd that helped a lot.I did still have some issues in early daysl Now, I can guess the era by their hair color. And Jimin does that run while dancing also. They are amazing. 'There isn't a video, but there is a LA remix for DNA, that is very rock heavy, I listen to that version a lot. But this version is still pretty fly.RM looks so cool when he enters on Mic Drop.

I heard Serendiptiy for the first time today and I love the song along with both DNA and MIC DROP. I've recently discovered a demo version of DNA sung by J-hope to find on the physical album of Proof. And you might check out the video by Crush "Rush Hour" if you haven't because the is a slight hint to Mic Drop in there choreography wise 🙂

A few thoughts, I think the thing I love the most about DNA is how colourful it is! 😍blows me away every time I see it - ALSO I made myself a page a day BTS calendar for my desk at work and today's picture was a still from the DNA MV - clearly it was fate!! For real, I don't know about you guys but when I was new army the struggle to recognise them when they changed their look so much was real so I definitely feel you there John. Lastly I just wanted to say you can tell when someone is true army - watching the MV's without the subtitles and talking about how great the lyrics to the songs are haha 😂

7:02 Absolutely. I feel like every army, at least westerns, needed some time to differenciate them. But in a few months consuming their work and content you can recognize them even from the back of the head and tell from which era and year is the photo ps: i dont think they changed their hair so often, they usually change their hair style twice a year because of new era or promo. New armys from after 2020 are overwhelmed by the amount of content they have, since they are active from 10 years. I'm with you, in short time you will be able to tell them apart very easily haha

Ah, Mic Drop. The song (SNL version) that made me an ARMY. Never get tired of it. I had such a hard time learning who was who. I knew RM right away, because I recognized him, almost like I had met him somewhere. Of course, I hadn't. Next was Jimin. Always mixed up JK & V, then J Hope & SUGA. That meant that the odd man out was Jin. I could never figure him out. I think it took me over a month to know them, but now it's hard to remember why I couldn't tell them apart!

OMG I was so confused for a while. 😂 My friends introduced them through their English songs first, then bangers from the past. Jimin’s beauty immediately jumped out at me, so he was the first I learned. Then RM swooped in and I was like, “Who is THAT?!” 😂 Rap line was easiest for me to learn. Hey John... always good to spend time with you - on the recognition thing / hair styles/colours.. I think a lot of us kind of 'grew up ' with BTS from pre-debut... through the vlives/ Bangtan bombs/festas/their debut features etc... so we got to see them change as it happened... but for those who got to know the group after they began to alter their image, it would definitely have been difficult to keep up with them... every video was different... so I get it.. and you did really well to get them sorted as quickly as you have... 💜Borahae💜

My first encounter with BTS was Mic Drop MV. I noticed Suga (for me he was badass and pretty), RM (for me he was badass and fierce) and JK( for me he was pretty) at the end of the MV too. Then I watched Boy With Love and I was lost : too much hairs color and a completely different style. I recognized Rm and Suga. I was definitely hooked by Suga. A long time after, I watched On and I recognized easily RM and Suga. I saw V (I thought that he was very handsome) and I thought he was the pretty boy at the end of Mic Drop (in fact Jungkook). I was confused between V and Jungkook. I didn’t remember J-Hope, and Jin’s names. I noticed Jimin with On. It was hard for me bacause I don’t have the memory of faces and names. I finally was able to recognize them because of videos like Carpool karaoke which show their personalities. 😊💜

The absolute only issue that i just noticed is that Suga's hair keeps going between silver and blue. 😂 but i love it anyways. It is little mistakes that helps to remember that BTS is real and human. Imperfections making them perfect.💜🇺🇲💜

Hi. I love your BTS reactions! Serendipity is the song/video that made everyone fall for Jimin all over again! DNA was so colorful and fun. RM was the only one of the members I never had a problem identifying. Second person I could identify was JK because well... he is JK. Mic drop is the video that made me decide I have no bias and I love them all equally. I love this remix because he made a great song even better and it has a lot more English in it. We all had a hard time when we became army XD dna was the second song I heard after dynamite, and let's say that V's beautiful Grey hair and eyes got me to stay... but I didn't know it was v 😂 I thought it was Jimin. And I used to be confused because V, jk and jin, they looked similar at first but now I want to slap my past self because THEY'RE SO MUCH DIFFERENT ! And a year after having jimin as my bias, I discovered that the cutie pie in dna was in fact V 😂 but it didn't really change my pov because they are all amazing and Jimin is still the beautiful angel who got a beautiful voice ❤
