Hey 💜 Suga had his shoulder surgery at the beginning of November 2020 and was gone for about 2 months. He returned at the beginning of January 2021 for the performance at the Golden Disc Awards. He still couldn't dance at that time but he appeared on stage and sang. And the MAMA and MMA are at the end of November and the beginning of Dezember each year.

Correct me if I’m wrong, but I think he was away for a couple months to recover,if that long. He started feeling anxious that he would be forgotten, which isn’t true. As you can see, there’s a big gap when he, or anyone of them, is missing 💜💜💜💜💜💜💜

If i remember correctly when Suga was absent from ISAC the surgery he was recovering from was a appendix removal because appendicitis

@@dorotheadavis9132 yes Jimin did in 2022, but I remember Suga sharing that he was in the hospital when he wrote 'Just one Day' & I'm pretty sure it was because he had appendicitis in 2014

Suga had his appendix out 12/9/13 and Jimin had his out 1/31/22 and poor Jimin also was diagnosed with Covid at the same time.

When they subbed the Suga teddy bear for Yoongi at the ISACS Idol competition, he was missing at that time because he was recovering from his appendicitis surgery. They were in Japan on the Red Bullet tour when he got his appendicitis attack, and for some reason I’ve never found out, he was unable to get the appendectomy surgery right away there in Japan and he had to fly back to Korea to get it removed. Because of the delay, his appendix burst inside him before it could get removed, so he had to recover from severe internal infection from the burst appendix, in addition to the surgery. When Jimin had his appendicitis surgery during the pandemic, Suga was very surprised that Jimin was not having to take a ton of antibiotics after his surgery like he had had to do. It relieved me to finally find out that Jimin’s had, in fact, been removed before it burst. At the time Big Hit had announced that his appendicitis surgery “had been successful “ which could have meant anything, litterally, just surviving a major surgery with the goal for it having been accomplished could be deemed as being “successful “ even if the patient coded a cpl times on the table, or suffered complications that would cause a prolonged recovery. Since Jimin was also battling COVID at that time, I was VERY worried about him fighting 2 serious health issues simultaneously. But back to Yoongi, so Suga bear at the ISACS was repping post Appendectomy Yoongi. I could be wrong, and I’m too lazy to consult Google right now, but I believe that the MAMAS and MMAS are year-end awards shows, and Yoongi’s shoulder surgery took place in either November or early December I believe, so he was missing from those because he was very recently post-op, but I believe he was out of action for at least 6 months, possibly closer to 9 months post op before he was recovered enough to perform again.

Thank you for sharing this, John! I really enjoy your compilation Thursdays so yes, please, let's have more of them. Jimin said in a Run BTS episode that during their early days together, they had lots of fights and arguments. We know about the dumpling incident but Hobi and JK also had the banana incident where Hobi ended up throwing a banana at JK. I think the most serious fight seems to be when Jin and Taehyung had a fight over choreo. It was shown in their "Burn the Stage" doco series and so interesting to see the whole team thresh things out together. It is always so touching when one or the other member talks about how important it is for the seven of them to be together.

Suga was missing two times, first his appendix got removed, and years later for the shoulder surgery when he was in recovery for about 2 months I think. But it was during the year end which always brings a lot of award shows and performances. Now we have none of the seven, but in 2 days were going to slowly build it up again. YaY!

I hate, HATE watching any of them cry. But when Hobi cries?! Our fricken Sunshine?! I think there will be a greater focus on units when they return, which is sad, but hopefully they choose to be 7 as a return. I miss them.
