The Non-Fiction Days use to be their go-to closer. When the song ended, the Maids would give Miku her few seconds to say goodbye, bow, and then all quickly walk off stage. The crowd felt like they'd been run over by a speeding freight train of awesomeness. It all felt so good and the fans wanted more! But they were leaving... until next time! 🤘😂 Thx, Ana!

The April Fools joke included the release of Secret Maiko Lips as their alter ego Band Maiko and was a cover of Secret My Lips. It' went down so well that it resulted in the release of a Band Maiko EP with 5 other Band Maid covers plus one original Band Maiko song 'Gion Cho' for which there is an MV and is a fantastic song.

So far Band-Maid has only released a schedule up to mid-July with events in Japan only and hints about "collaborations with overseas artists." They will open for Incubus on May 1st. Don't worry, Band-Maid loves touring America in their rented black tour bus and they love eating at KFC, too! Kobato and crew will be back.

Yeah they do have a distinct sound . Their sound it’s like it changes my mood and it always makes me happy . If I’m in a bad mood or I’m angry I just listen to band maid and my mood changes .

You really red to watch the live version. It’s legendary. Also, Japanese people have the opposite feelings about Japanese and English. It was freezing cold when they shot this video. Two of them caught fire trying to stay warm.

The director of the video said the one thing they learned from the experience is never shoot a music video on a beach in Japan in March, because it is FREEZING.

Great reaction Anastasia. This is one of my favorite Band Maid tracks, and the way the video is set up perfectly fits the tenor of the song. Regarding what you were saying about the singing in Japanese, I get what you are saying. To me it rolls gracefully off the tongue when they sing in Japanese, while when they sing in English, depending on the songs, they have to pronounce the English words in a manner where the pronunciation seems off because they are weaving it into the Japanese language portion. But in the end it doesn't really matter, because they could be singing in Flemish or Navajo and it would still sound fabulous.

Everything they do is so stylish and they have a great back up teams- Recording mixing- live and studio, video production etc. If you haven't already done it, react to the latest Official Live Video of Don't You Tell Me, to see the full power of Saiki's voice and performance now. The show at Yokohama Arena is a landmark performance of where the band is now with the DVD to be releases soon.

Hello Anastasia! I hope you are having a wonderful day! The Maids will be releasing a video of the Yokohama concert soon, and they will also be doing an acoustic concert soon, and I'm only guessing, but I would guess that they will livestream that too. They announced that they will be releasing a new album this summer, so I suspect that they will tour to promote the new album, but that is just a guess so far, since they haven't officially announced that yet. There hasn't been any announcements about overseas tours yet. My guess is that they won't tour the US again until next year at the earliest. There is a new album being dropped this summer, so they will likely be touring mostly in Japan to support that album.

Ah, yes - "Band Maiko"... it's amusing that Miku & the Maids' idea of a joke is to just do something unexpected, but still at a really high level. (See also Miku's sidegig, "Cluppo") Abd yeah, with the great ticket sales for their last outing, and when Nemophila came around, I fully expect bigger venues when they, plus Lovebites, come around again. I love Lovebites very much, but not enough to consider them the only and unique Goddesses of metal. The tendency of some people to exaggerate borders on real madness. I hope you will return soon with new reactions to Lovebites. And don't pay attention to the fools. I understand that this is a reaction to Band-Maid, and I want to apologize in advance to the fans of this wonderful group for my intrusion. Japanese is such a percussive language that it sounds great when Saiki does fast rapping, and you can't replicate it in English. That's why I call vocals part of rhythm section .

Something I just found out recently was that although I knew Saiki had throat surgery for polyps Miku had throat surgery in 2017 at around the same time. I thought you might find that interesting as a vocalist.

Japanese is a language with a variety of meanings depending on grammar, word abundance, and intonation. Pronunciation itself is one of the relatively easy languages from the Japanese point of view, since it is basically a combination of 50 syllables! Therefore, there is no ambiguous pronunciation, and some people find it "beautiful sounding". So, conversely, the Japanese are not good at pronouncing English. For example, Right, Light, Wright, etc. are all pronounced the same when converted into Japanese katakana.

Some people would prefer that they didn't sing in English, the argument being that it sounds stilted and or tentative, and doesn't flow like their native language. I think it's charming. Like when she sings, "Raise Your Voice" and id sounds like raise yous boys.Charming. But if you like the Bass Solos try 'Hate' LIVE or Don't You Tell ME' LIVE.
