RM being called "ugly" hurts. I think he is stunning, inside and out. He was my first bias, and the way he carries himself as a person is the way people should all try to be like.

His mono album is free therapy. Its only six songs with an interlude in the middle that kinda makes a seventh song. Its a beautiful Playlist and well worth a complete listen through if you decide to tackle that challenge. Its a glorious work of art and has been a real blessing in my own life and in my own battles with mental health 💜 Editing to add, if you do decide to do the mono Playlist, there are some songs that have MVs and some that have beautiful lyric fanmade videos. Just be sure to get the ones with English subs!! Thanks, great reaction!! All love and respect to my leader, Namjoon

RM is so impressive. The thing that hit me the hardest in this video is the fact that he had the weight of the success of the band (and the whole agency) on his shoulders. That agency, whose success was built mostly on the success of BTS is one of the most successful businesses in Korea now. I don't know if it has been verified, but I have heard that in their early days, RM often translated hate speech against them to the members as positive messages, so he alone bore much of the weight of that hate. He didn't want the other members to be hurt. Thanks for reacting.

Yes, John, in fact Bighit entertainment company became so successful all because of BTS, they bought out Scooter Braun's company, Ithaca Holdings and named Hybe. Now BTS Justin Bieber, Ariana Grande, Demi Lovato, J Balvin and many more western artists are under S. Korean company, HYBE.

Yes. I saw some interview when the interviewer were asking bout what is the craziest thing fan ever do. But RM translate it into what is the memorable moment that fans do. Iam sure he didnt do it once. As the translator n spokesperson in the group itself has its own burden, then he also need to keep a positive vibe during interview or show no matter how stupid, sarcastic, or negative the questions that given to them. I think RM n Suga are usually the one who answer the negative questions or comments. While RM's role is more like a fence who protects the them from those thing, like a guard, Suga will more likely to be the one who answer/attack back like a defender 🤣💜

i dont think the part where she talked about American Hustle life and why many fans do not seem to like it, was well articulated. a lot of fans find the show corny. it was of course an important part of bts and played a huge role in their understanding of black culture, but many armys (even a lot of armys from the black community) find it hard to watch it because of the way bts were treated. that bit has nothing to do with the understanding or gaining knowledge aspect. i dont know why she conflated those two different aspects. the members were treated disrespectfully a lot of times and of course it would not feel good to encounter that. otehrwise the show is pretty interesting to watch.

Namjoon is the pillar of BTS... we can only imagine the kind of stress that put into him.. he is the voice between the company and the members, between the members themselves.. and sometimes even the voice between the members and us... he keeps everything running without outshining the other members, he lets them speak for themselves too... Is not a stretch to say he is the reason why BTS grew so strong of a bond and why their company respects them so much. Truly a role model and admirable person...

RM is truly the heart of BTS, the group was built around him and he managed to lead them to the path that they’re walking now (along with the other member’s help of course). They’ve mentioned multiple times that BTS wouldn’t be where it’s at without him, he’s truly the best leader I’ve seen.

RM, my bias, is so admirable In my book….he doesn’t hide from anything. Owns up to and learns from mistakes but is so smart, humble, kind…just definition of true inspiration. Btw, Jin now has only until Dec of this year to enlist in the military, as he turns 30….and then the others behind him as they reach that age…many of us are hoping they get an exception for their accomplishments but that’s up in the air still…just in case u weren’t aware of that.

RM's ability to put himself selflessly into the other member's headspace to collaborate with them and write songs specifically tailored to their personalities, strengths, and onstage personas is supernatural. His insight, wisdom, and commitment to self awareness and sincerity baffle me as someone over a decade his senior. I've never seen this introduction before and I loved it. RM leads by example, but I like to day he also leads from the bottom up. He leads the group by pushing his fellow brothers up, for example encouraging them to speak more English or speak more in awards shows or interviews. He puts ego aside and helps the members with solo projects. He never makes it about himself but the full group which is rare in big group or just a group in general. He definitely had some rough times and he rose to the occasions. As for depression thank you for your words , they made me emotional. I have manic depression and it can be very difficult and misunderstood sometimes. I also had a twin brother who had it worse then me he had many disorders plus PTSD from the military so it was even harder for me to take care of myself when dealing with him. So thanks for your words on this. And I am thankful to RM and BTS for addressing the issue as well it means a lot to so many RM . Sorry I know it was supposed to be about RM but depression is a very big deal for me anyway moving on. Thanks for this intro again I never saw this one so it was definitely made me respect RM so much more then I already do. His leadership is one of the best in the music industry not just in Korea but around the world.

Thanks for your reaction. This video (my opinion) is hard to watch. I’m glad the original poster apologized for many things she said in the original video (as we should if we made a mistake) but this video just has so many generalizations that I don’t agree with. Some of the generalizations also pertained to what RM thought. Some of his thoughts he shared in social media but not all. We really can’t assume we know what goes on in the artist’s mind if it’s not shared. I still like the fact that this video (original video) is made out of appreciation for RM ( I am ARMY so I like it when the boys get featured), but I just feel like videos by XCeleste, DKDKTV, or others like them are a more responsible way to feature the boys. Still, I appreciate the original poster for her effort and her courage. I just can’t shake off the feeling of discomfort when I listen to this. Please take it with a grain of salt. I will look forward to your other videos. I’ve been following your journey and it’s been wonderful. I also hope you react to the explanation videos like the one for PERSONA. You will truly appreciate RM even more. His genius and talent is way beyond his years. Thank you. 💜

this video wasnt bad but please keep in mind with videos like this take them with a grain of salt the only channels i trust are xceleste, bbygangmag, dkdktv and the rise of bangtan other channels are hit or miss some will over exaggerate small things others will make up things to victimize bts members (there are types of "fans" we call solo antis and mantis as well as plain antis. solo antis are solo "fans" of 1 member who hates the other members hates the label and does everything to force the group to break up against all logic and ignores their "favorite" members words. mantis are manager antis who try to manage the group and thinks the label isnt managing them correctly when bts have said many times that theyre grown men who can take care of themselves and they trust bighit. antis are direct haters usually fans of other korean groups but can also be people who dont know korean music at all like fans of american artists etc people who believe media propaganda done by the american media and music industry to try to stop people from being fans of bts and korean artists. it sounds insane but its the truth most media coverage is lies to try to suppress bts from mainstream success. i highly suggest bts hardships 2013 - 2021 by xceleste and how bts paved the way by bbygangmag as well as bbygangmags other videos on bts and kpop in general we want to see your initial reactions to these and we will watch the entire videos no matter how long they are so please react to them soon they will help a lot with understanding bts and korean industry in general. :)

They are admirable. I am a 49 year old mom of 3 kids that are around BTS boys ages. It is incredible what Namjoon and all of them had done at such a young age. They are so intelligent (and I´m talking about emotional intelligence), so hard working and so talented. How many young people do you know to work as hard as them when they were 16 to 20 years old? I think this is why ARMY admires them so much, not just because of their music but because their path has inspired millions to work hard, to never give up and to fight for your dreams.

These videos really show you how complex the members are, very very few reactors go through them. RM has my absolute respect and love. He’s the central pillar of BTS. It’s always baffled me that on polls etc he and JHope are often at the bottom. Two of the three musical pillars, with Suga, who have made BTS what it is. The fact he is 27 and did most of this in his teens or early 20s. His love of art and nature are infectious. He’s written more of the lyrics and songs than anyone. He’s just amazing and the deep love his members have for him shows. I’ve never found your Easter eggs I get too distracted by the content. Yay BTS week!

trigger warning just an FYI, feminism in South Korea is a REALLY sensitive topic, it's not at all seen as it is in the western society in Korea, feminism is actually seen as a radical movement, that has a negative connotation to it Korea is very conservative, so things like a girl not wearing a bra outside, for me example, is looked down upon, by society as a whole (in fact, a few female idols that have done this have receveid such backlash, that this even resulted in an artist commiting suicide from literally being bullied online.) now, for bts in this context namjoon was called out on the beginning of their careers for mysoginistic lyrics, in songs such as war of hormone however, he apologized and he has learned a lot from this issues as the video said, he used to talk to social studies professors on the topic often, plus he has read many books covering the experience of being a woman in a patriarchal society with his attitude of changing and learning, namjoon is actually now seen as a feminist in korea a Korean reactionary anti feminist group made a list of ""feminist public figures"" that they shouldn't follow and RM was listed as a "verified feminist" (yes yes, that's my feminist king) anyways, I just love to see the growth and the change that he implemented himself in order to be better, we're not perfect but we can always work to become a better version of ourselves

I am an RM stan from the moment I started liking BTS. He's just so inspiring! I suffer from Borderline Personality Disorder and to see him go through every struggle he has faced makes me want to keep going even when I feel like dying. I'm a musician also, and I feel so proud of everything he has done as a lyricist, as a producer, etc. Even as a dancer, which, as the video said, he's not actually one. We know he doesn't move as Hobi, or Jimin, or JK, but he tries so damn hard to keep up with them and you can really tell by looking at every single performance they do. Of course, when the choreos are hard, you can tell how breathless he is so he doesn't sound as good as he normally would but hey, he does it anyways and I dare anyone to do what he does. As a leader, he's always trying his best to make his group members to feel appreciated, comfortable and respected anywhere they go, even if that means to stand up against some journalists or interviewers (he's very passive agressive, look at the videos ahahaha). In the video, the girl doesn't mention this, but he's actually an awesome painter and he loves art so much. He even has a word invented just for him! Have you heard about Namjooning? Look it up and you'll definitely understand more about his actual personality and way to see things and life :) he's not just your average rapper with an attitude, but instead he's a kind person, with a huge heart, who loves to ride his bike, reading amazing books (there's a reading challenge with the books he has read if you ever want to read some of them), going to museums and enjoying art in every single way he can. People look down at him because he's not your typical boyband guy (with the looks that are popular in Korea) and you can even tell how some of ARMY members don't respect or love him as much by just looking at the selling prices of the photocards that come with albums; he and Hobi are the cheapest ones while Jungkook and Taehyung are the most expensive, clearly because of their looks and it makes me so angry sometimes, because it shows how these people only value their looks and not them as a whole group of individuals making amazing music and opening every door in front of them. RM is the best leader BTS could have had and I know that they wouldn't be where they are if it wasn't for his leadership. I'm so sorry for the long post, but I just love him so much and I think he doesn't deserve the hate from netisens or being like "the least popular" from the band, because he simply is one of the biggest persons in the whole world

I like when artists just own up to things, put it behind them, and move forward. No one is perfect, we all screw up, but being able to humble yourself enough to acknowledge your mistakes without excuses shows maturity.

the man is really awesome!! like I literally, and i believe many ARMYs call him thier comfort person! And damn about mono, when I listened to the album I literally cried throughout cuz it was exactly what I needed to listen to overcome my mental health struggles!!!. I'm so much driven by RM that I've taken psychology as my main subject of research and study in College so that i can understand his writings better as it has so much of psychological context to it and ofcourse to help people!!.. I respect and love all (BTS) of them equally, but RM is just a person who will always be my comfort!!🦋

if you want to watch american hustle life, you should look up some "best of" or something like that. it's a whooooole lot of cringe but there are some really good and funny scenes peppered in to it. a few of the people like tony and the other guy in the basketball pic (i can't remember his name) and warren g actually wanted to help them. all the guys learned a good bit on the show. RM in particular.

i am loving the idea of BTS week and RM is the perfect way to start. I agree with some of the comments about the video and recommendations on other vids to watch, Rise of Bangtan being the pen-ultimate story of BTS (fan made, 21 episodes to date + deleted scenes and bonus content). Looking forward to your deep dives into the other members, and also ty for sharing your own insight. I love hearing your own musical experiences in how you relate to the guys. Also as a new BTS reactor - please don't post your reaction to the new tracks to YT for the first 24 hours after release, as we are trying to break some streaming/viewing records for the guys and it's good to not have distractions so we can focus on the official MV. ARMY will appreciate and respect you for this. ~ you nice keep going.

I have never seen this video before, it's very well done, thank you for doing this reaction ! RM is younger than my son, but he always impressed me with his intelligence, deep reflexion, and leadership. I have a huge respect for him, he is a wise young man since their pre début. Witnessing his growing throught his vlog, vlive, speeches, and the lyrics he wrote is an amazing journey. But I have to say it's the same for the 7 of them, each in his own way. Suga is the one who touched me the most, Jimin the one witch I feel emotionally connected the most, JK is like my baby, and I have love and admiration for J Hope, Jin et Tae... I Can't wait to see your reaction the rest of the week. And I hope someday you will react to The Rise of Bangtan. Note : Army LOVE long video Lol !

I genuinely give up listening to music for the longest of time because it sounds the same to me. The concept and lyrics tend to be repetitive & shallow. That was until I listen to BTS songs which majority written by RM. Namjoon set the standard pretty high - amazing role model, high work ethics and talented musician. Especially admire how he use his voice/BTS platform for a good cause and continue to champion it (even before they were famous shows how consistent BTS are) 💜 Fact: BTS first Grammy’s performance with Lil Nas X might not happen if it’s not for RM. I watched somewhere Lil Nas X actually invited only RM but he said he come with his homies. Ahh, I admire him so much.

John thank you for reacting to this introduction video, it’s the first time I have seen this one and it is well done. Great reaction 👍 EE=My Bias Jimin. He is not my bias because of his looks but his personality. I swear he is just a younger version of myself. If I didn’t know better (know he was born in October) I would swear he is Gemini ☺️ I love his duality. I love when he tries to act all tough but then puts his head down and smile because he is not really that way he is a big softy. I do the same. I can’t keep a straight face. Thanks again and have a blessed rest of your day. Borahae 💜🇺🇸

Idk why she had to make a disclaimer about saying "black rappers" like is just a description... Also, in hustle life all were rly nice people and told them importan lessons, after the 2 first episodes is a rly wholesome show... only Coolio was a jerk... I don't care if it was stage, he shouldn't have agree to treat kids that barely understood english like shit..

- I have so much respect for RM. I can't even fathom the pressure put on him at such a young age but he rose to every occasion. RM truly is a leader in the best sense of the word. - As a fellow "Serotonin sufferer" I'm always happy when someone brings up mental health because the more we talk about it, the more we normalize it, the less stigma will be attached to it and the more it'll be ok to seek help. 💜 (D_mnit, why can't I ever find your easter eggs?! 😅)

RM was the first person I saw, as there was a reference to "friends" on some interview and I found him cute ( and his english) and rest was history. I have immense respect for him, on and off stage he is just so inspiring. As I turned 46 this year, I have found my way to Love myself through BTS. So thank you for doing this, for showing respect for our boys and for loving them. Thank you 🙏 Love from India 🇮🇳

i dont think the part where she talked about American Hustle life and why many fans do not seem to like it, was well articulated. a lot of fans find the show corny. it was of course an important part of bts and played a huge role in their understanding of black culture, but many armys (even a lot of armys from the black community) find it hard to watch it because of the way bts were treated. that bit has nothing to do with the understanding or gaining knowledge aspect. i dont know why she conflated those two different aspects. the members were treated disrespectfully a lot of times and of course it would not feel good to encounter that.

great way to start off bts comeback week !!!! i think that video was made in 2020 so if you dont know what enlistment means basically in Korea, male idols have to do military service by the time they turn 30. jin will be turning 30 this year and there has been ongoing talks whether or not bts should be exempted from enlistment due to how popular they are and how much they contribute to the south korean economy. just with their permission to dance 4 night concert shows that were held in April at the allegiant stadium in vegas they grossed the second biggest box score with 35.9 MILLION dollars 🤯 converted to Korean won its over 44 BILLION won 😧. i really hope they don’t enlist because they have done so much as artist and for their country 🥲
