omg Out of Love "Like a monster dragging its knuckles on the ground" is THE PERFECT description of the beat
@LiliP8024 ай бұрын
Idk how everyone view of the tracks but to me, Right people wrong place gave me that vibe of a boxer at an alley at night, with his head down, hoodies up, a Walkman in his hand, long earphones connected to it, nodding his head to the beat, as he gets ready for the fight of his life. Like he was channelling that, "You're the right people (that I wanna box with), in wrong place (this is my ring so I'll fuck you up)". Nuts gave me the vibe of a man who is just done w/ their gaslighting partners, & just wanna gtfo of that toxic situation, because he knows there's nothing else that he can do. Out of love, man, is just a heavy song, like those mafia dealing w/ money & drugs type of shit, cigarettes on their mouths, like they give no shit what the government thinks of them. Domodachi, well, is the anthem for the fake ass friends out there. Similar to the MV, the main character got all those leeches sucking up to his/her ass but he/she stays true to him/herself. Interlude, it reminds me so much of the bgm in hotels, you know when you sit in the lounge or sth, that's the song they'd play, & suddenly it'll switch up to you at home, playing PlayStation (if you know a game called, 'Klonoa: Door to Phantomile', it gave that feeling of 'The Windmill Song' from that game to me 🤣) Groin, same vibe to domodachi, in this MV, ARMY sense that Joon is dissing the monk that he once met & shared his views, but that monk leaked it to public, disrespecting the trust that Joon had to him. Also dissing people out there who expects BTS to 'save the world' like some kind of politicians now that they're famous (imagine the sighs when people out there blame BTS for the genocide in Palestine, a genocide decades in the making by those Israelis, when BTS in the military & they're prohibited to talk about politics when they're serving). Looking forward to your reactions for the remaining tracks! Watch LOST MV for that track! 😆

Oh man, when you hear the BTS members talk about music (esp the rap line), I could listen to that sh*t for hours. They truly love music and it shows. Even the conversation between RM and Suga on the first episode of Suga's show Suchwita that dwells into their starts in music, their inspirations, the process by which they approach making music, thoughts on current state of the music industry, etc is amazing. For every album they released, there is a vid that shows some behind the scenes of the creation process/what they were trying to convey/what the project means to them. So amazing to able to get to know the artists on a deeper level like that.
@cboz61374 ай бұрын
I love when they talk music too. Even in the Jimin JK "Are You Sure" for a minute when JK wanted Jimin to play his new song and the way he was listening and making suggestions etc. Typically its gonna be the rapline but it was fun to see them do it too. All members seem so real when they talk music, whether it is theirs or music they like. 💜

RM was a huge fan of Pharrell and NERD for many years. Before they debuted, he covered Pharrell's song "Take it Off" (pretty racy ). The album is made in collaboration with the producers for Balming Tiger, a great Korean band that calls themselves "alternative KPop" 🤣 They do some Very cool different stuff, he's worked with them before. Yeah "Interlude" is straight up jazz fusion with Grammy-winning duo named Domi and JD Beck. The instrumental sounds a lot like old-style Pat Metheny (look it up)

That was such a pleasure to watch. Witnessing the appreciation of someone who really knows and enjoys rap and hip-hop for this highly unconventional, but so well put together, album... man, it makes me so proud of RM's artistic evolution. You are absolutely right in that Nuts links to Out of Love, and so on... In fact, I would recommend you listen to the whole album in one go because you missed out on some pretty dope transitions. Thank you, for always putting the time into your reactions without it ever being for self promotion. I appreciate that so much, it's a testament to your authenticity. I'm really looking forward to Part.2. EDIT: Regarding the production, after RM did Indigo, he thought he was done until after enlistment. But there was a still an aftertaste of unfinished things. Producer San Yawn, from the Korean indie rap collective Balming Tiger, convinced him to express these feelings in an album. So RM pushed back his enlistment day, gathered about 40 producers to brainstorm, and RPWP was given it's first impulse. RM was pretty hands on with the whole creative process but relied heavily on outside producers, composers and songwriters for the first time. RM met San Yawn when he featured on the Balming Tiger track Sexy Nukim. It's a great track (I think you like videography, so the MV would be a treat for you...). I'm sure you'd love Balmin Tiger, they are irreverent, sharp, original, incredibly creative sonically and visually. They are a collective made of rappers, producers, videographers... La creme de la creme.

For the videos! There’s not much of a difference really except for Nuts. Nuts was a LIVE VIDEO. So he was actually singing and performing live during the video so that’s why some of the cadences were different, and that’s why the words were different. The correct lyrics were in the subtitles, but he just might’ve missed that line but it was still the best take so they took it. So excited to see the part 2! Always loving watching your reactions! Idk if you know SleepDeez but he’s been having a rapper/producer friend react to the Rapline stuff too and RPWP was his introduction to BTS Lol. 16:20 As westerns, we might not be able to fully understand why he is always telling people to leave him alone, but we gotta understand the IMPACT of it for a korean, especially for an idol. In kpop (and korea in general), they expect artists to be perfect in EVERY FCK SENSE. So knetizens always pick up on people for the smallest things ever, the way they dress, every thing they say, and it's so aggressive that some artists give up (like, give up of LIFE). So if we consider this reality with how big BTS is, we can have an idea of how much pressure they're always on. People act like they NEED to be perfect. Even some "fans" act like this, judging them for small things, like their appearance, relationships, if they go out, if they smoke, if they drink. But for a long time, BTS has been saying: "you know what? fuck your standards, I'm gonna do me" and people still DON'T LISTEN. So, that time and that album feels like: I'm gonna say everything I want to say to you in the most plain and obvious way possible so y'all can finally understand AND I LOVE IT. Especially when I think of how many doors they're opening by doing this, how many idols will consider to speak their minds and tell annoying people to back off and let them live their lives the way they want and not by what people expect them to do.

I appreciate your videos so much! As someone who loves music but is not that familiar with the technical side, I love listening to your comments on the tannies' production, instrumentals, vocal techniques, etc. Makes me fall in love with their songs even more 💜 Thank you!!

You need to listen to the full album on some platform (Apple Music is the best to) because the transition from one song to another makes your head explode because the sequence is so good.

If you have time I would encourage you to watch the two videos RM and Jimin did together where they do a music swap and talk about each other’s albums…is called minimoni music or something like that…RM talks about the process and thinking behind RPWP and jimin talks about his album Muse…which has his latest single Who on it…just thought you might be interested in what they each have to say about these projects 💜 I’m always thankful for your insights…I like getting your feedback because as a music producer it’s cool to see how you relate and get excited for the music from a professional point of view 🫶🏻

I've checked everyday to see when you had reviewed the album. LOVE your reactions so much! Yes, "NUTS" is different in video as it's a LIVE recording. Now, please make sure to listen to the album on your music streaming service from beginning to end. There is no break between songs and how they stream together is so pleasing. Take care of yourself. Looking forward to your next reaction!

So I love this album. I am finding people with musical backgrounds are the most excited by RPWP ...so BTS has always worked very collaboratively, with themselves with the in house producers and with any other people they work with. Its part of RMs genius. He describes setting this up like a song camp. RM brought together established artists he wanted to work with for INDIGO. But for RPWP he sourced newer less mainstream( in korea) voices and musicians. He brought on board San Yawn ( one of the main producers) who he worked with on SEXY NUKIM a great live version for W campaign. He was facinated by the BALMING TIGER collective structure and the more experimental independant avante guarde vibe... which lets face it is more RM. He felt he lost sight of the clear direction and identity of BTS after their pop success with the songs in english they put out to cheer up a post covid world. He was unhappy with the brilliant Indigo almost on completion. He was in a particularly turbulent period of his life and given his personality, clumsyness and forgetfulness I imagine dreading the structure and discipline of army life( luckily his fears seem ungrounded as the nervous stressed RM of pre enlistment seems to have totally disappeared. This album is him breaking his chains and letting them fall where they will. I hope the success of this album will show him that he has more creative freedom than he thought. The sky will not fall and he does not have to distance himself(18 months he mentioned to Jimin) in order to protect BTS from falling flak . I hope he has a clearer belief in his identity. Just because nobody else was mentioning his work just RM the brilliant leader ... even his fans. It was never brilliant artist, it was always our brilliant leader. Often forgetting some of our favourite songs by the vocal line like Vs SINGULARITY were mainly written by RM. ...😊 So RM and Pharrell agreed that you judge the quality of your lyrics by how painful they are to write. " PAIN DIVINE" = divine inspiration.

Wow. Thank you for this. You cannot stop again - I know life happens - but man, Army loves you man. (No matter what happens, Army is here for you). I absolutely love your analysis of music. And, of course, we love our Bangtan men. Thanks again. Looking forward to Part 2! Can't wait to hear what you think of Lost. The video is deep if you get a chance to view that - I've been waiting for your analysis of that one. And it's got the Indi vibe - it's brilliant.

I am so glad you are reacting to RPWP🤗 I’ve been very curious to see your thoughts on the album and I’m so happy you are enjoying it. I really like your input as well as your knowledge bombs about the production process as well. Will you continue to do album reactions? Maybe even dive into some previous albums, too? Thanks for all that you do! Can’t wait for pt.2. 💜
