If only MTV still played music videos. Song and Video are a masterpiece. Even better live. They did a quadruple encore in the beer garden at shoreline when mayhem festival failed. most other bands bailed on the venue but Whitechapel was there for their fans. utmost respect

GetScaredGaming Save me is just A7x trying to be Opeth by writing a longer, less generic song, yet failing miserably at it, like they do with every pathetic attempt at anything decent. They are horrible, scene trash.
@GetScaredGaming10 жыл бұрын
FluxxTV You are genuinely stupid if you think a7x is generic, sorry. Ive listened to a lot of bands, and a7x is easily one of the most unique sounding. Im cool if you dont like a7x, but you haters blow everything out of porportion and its honestly pathetic. If you're a fan of opeth, you cant possibly hate a song like save me. like its just not possible, makes no sense. There is nothing generic about that song whatsover. If anything theyve done is generic, its hail to the king, but even then, its still very unique. People say This means war is exactly like sad but true when in reality, they sound very different. Same goes for the Heretic - Symphony of destruction comparison. Completely different songs other than a similar vibe in the verse. Deathcore bands like whitechapel have similar sounding songs to other bands way more often, not saying that thats a bad thing, because i love whitechapel and im going to assume you do to since that is why you are here.

The "elite" are the most evil ones you can comprehend. They do things so evil Whitechapel lyrics look like a children's bedtime hymn. They are demonic. War is what they want, because its where they can win the easiest. War is something we can't win. They have technology hidden thats 20 years ahead of ours. We couldn't win a war with violence but with knowledge alone is the only way. Arm yourself mentally, and you won't see your loved ones die. Speak out. Be vocal on every platform, its the only way. But don't attack people who disagree with you, they are often times asleep and enslaved and need help not a slap to the face. For the most part anyways. People have fluoridated brains, you can't blame the victim. Knowledge and community is what it'll take. But yeah, ripping their fucking hearts out. Especially after discovering Pizzagate.

My country disagreed, sweet land of idiocracy While we still have liberty, all justice for all Shut it down! 50 states united as one But we still cant find a solution Where have we gone It seems that our motto to live by When your chin deep in shit don't, breathe and die! don't, breathe and die! Let's take back our justice for all! We can march at sundown upon capitol hill We're calling you out Come face us now and see your true war We can march at sundown upon capitol hill We're calling you out Come face us now and see your true war I've said before and I'll say it again This world is ours Let's take it back and give them their war Let's take it back! We the people Have spoken against Our endless war! My country disagreed, sweet land of idiocracy

The best Whitechapel lyrics of all time were wasted in a Chimaira song. Wasn't even the real original Chimaira either... But god damn it did those lyrics hit so fucking hard in Born in Blood. Always gives me chills.

I'm not that into The Somatic Defilement anymore and I can understand why a band would want to move away from that sound and vibe, but the direction they're going in now seems almost like a simplification of what they were doing before. I loved This Is Exile and A New Era of Corruption, and I loved the way that those albums were more technical and leaned more toward actual death metal and away from all the core stuff. And I was into the self titled record, but with this album it sounds like the band has stripped even more from their sound. I feel like so many of the old core bands are now just relying on djent guitar tones and riffs instead of technical and heavy songwriting.

I feel like it doesn't matter as long as they as a band like it. The fans liking it is just a plus. I seriously do not understand why people get so bent out of shape when a band isn't technical. Who cares? If it sounds good, it sounds good. Industrial Metal is proof of that.

Jake Moresea Well typically, when you build an entire fanbase on one sound and then spend the next two albums focusing on something different, some of those early fans tend to get upset. It would be as if an industrial band started playing technical death metal. The outcome would be the same, fans would be upset. It tends to happen a lot when bands change their sound or try to innovate but only end up lessening their original message. In this case, I think that Whitechapel just started out too young and weren't really set into a particular vibe or message and were only doing what they thought was cool at the time and not really thinking about their future or their overall message and decided later on that they wanted to do something different.

daydreamer92ify That wasn't my point. I was ranting about the whole "technical" thing. I think it's completely idiotic to disregard a band just because they aren't technical in their instrumentation. I know that changing genres can (and will) affect the older fans. Black Tide is a great example.

Jake Moresea Okay, but you see that's what I'm trying to tell you, that's not the reason I dislike the new album. I dislike the new album for many reasons, only one of them being that it isn't as technical as this is exile or new era of corruption. In my reply I was trying to explain that to you, that it wasn't the sole reason I disliked this, but you're just being fucking obtuse and idiotic and trying to turn this into an argument about fucking semantics, I'm telling you that it isn't the only reason, I don't just fucking disregard bands that aren't technical, I like plenty of non tech bands, what I was saying is that I dislike the fact that they went from one side of the spectrum to the other as far as I'm concerned, technical and intelligent metal to dumb, djent, gang vocal shit.
