@@doctorwhotardis5895 if we had ray and even backing vocals harmonies with women that in some similar set up like pink Floyd and rolling stones use. Phenomenal. I had stuck to couple genres early years as musician will never change to one and abandon the other. True to music. If some of metal bands Like fates warning would use the ones mentioned would make it rich and awesomely full. Ray is my favorite singer of his style. I liked Geoff Tate early stuff it was production but I think he knew how he wanted and was going to cut his vision he conceived before hand. The Warning unreal the sound and mix. The melodies in this song brings me to tears. Touches my Soul to the core. This song is a reminder for me to live life to its fullest and to remember that my view of it isn't the only journey out there. At the same time, it saddens me to know that we grow old and pass on, only to leave behind a lifetime of visuals and stories that will forever be lost to the world, making it all more special to a part of the living. This is Fates Warning!

Not often I read comments like this. Great to see this in a Fates Warning video. In Tolkiens books, elves are immortal, but sometimes they would like to have the "gift" that men are given: grow old and die. This makes our short life so precious, so beautiful. (Sorry about my english)

Perfect Symmetry was the most groundbreaking prog release of it's time. Like so many expecting No Exit Part 2, my expectations were mercilessly destroyed. Eschewing thrash for a clean, sometimes Kansas-inspired set of compositions, buoyed by the complicated and beautiful stylings of Mark Zonder, it was as if the sky had opened up and a new age of prog metal begun. Immensely underrated to this day.
@tarekwayne91935 жыл бұрын
Great comment, and true... I got turned on them later in life, so I never had expectations to be destroyed. However, the stark contrast between the two records is clear as day. I've always been extremely fond of the lighter, more melodic metal arrangements, whilst enjoying a good bit of thrash myself.

Through Different Eyes We're walking within a shadow Where echoes of different times resound Looking for memories to relive In yesterdays that can't be found. Through different eyes We keep looking for what we lack. Changing minds Take us away, and you can't go back. And staring into ageless eyes That shared secrets too dark for light We're searching for old bonds in places That lie forever out of sight Through different eyes We keep looking for what we lack. Changing minds Take us away, and you can't go back To different times Or ageless eyes, free from sorrow. Changing hearts Will hide the past from tomorrow. Through different eyes we try to find People and places we've left behind.

Joe DiBiase was such a good bass player, but still it is not easy to concentrate on what he plays with such good drums and guitars. Someone has to devote a hearing of the song with the intention to concentrate on the bass , to really appreciate what he plays. When he left the band (after the release of Inside out on 1994) Fates Warning were lucky that Joey Vera (form Armored Saint) was available , because he was a really worthy replacement of DiBiase.
