I haven't even gotten to the interview part yet......but already I can tell this is gonna be really good. Your intro shows you know what you're talking about and _get_ what TST is all about, and what it's not about. So many people seem to either think they're literally worshiping a literal Satan. Or....that they're just edgelord trolls and have no genuine religious(albeit non-theistic) conviction. Or that it's JUST about aesthetics. Most people totally miss the mark on what TST is and why it matters. But just a few minutes into this video, it's clear you're not one of those people. So I can already tell this is gonna be a great interview. So thanks in advance!!

I’m an atheist. I am so thankful for the fight they have been engaging with the theocrats. With this said, I think you can understand why so many might feel the TST actually worships satanic or are even just turned off by the symbolism and the look of members who are shown in media. Lucien is a great speaker for all of us whether members or not, but the choices that are made by him clearly make it more challenging for others to understand. Even if you read the tenets, the name and symbolism will STILL create an uphill battle. With regards to the after school club issue that has been in the media, I would imagine if the club didn’t have the word Satan, and instead had a name that spoke to secularism without “evil” myths, it wouldn’t have been difficult to implement the club.

This was legitimately the best interview I have seen with Lucien. It was nice to hear him talk without being talked over. I'm not a satanist (I'm actually Muslim) but I do agree with what TST is doing. There should be separation of church and state, medical procedures should be between patients and their medical practitioner not politicians, and a legal right for one is a legal right for all. I also completely agree that the far left are going to be eating their words. Whenever there is economic insecurity conservatives get voted in, and we are in a time of global economic insecurity. The far left have been quite forceful and the backlash will be damaging to everyone. There are already LGBTQ people talking about how they fear a violent reprisal; transpeople are already experiencing being stuck between the far left and far right agendas when all they want is to live their lives. I'm not American but let's be clear - what happens politically in America has long reaching consequences. The far right will take advantage of any privilege they can muster.

I'm more of an agnostic rarher than atheist, and I love what TST is doing. Like Lucien, I spent some time as a follower of LaVey in my youth. Through the years I have come to the conclusion that there is truth in all religions, and no single faith should hold dominion over the rest. Christianity has no place in government, and the idea that Christianity is the only source of morality, and therefore should be a basis of societal law, is beyond absurd.

@@davidharrison6934 Well.....extreme selfishness AND extreme selflessness are less than ideal. The real issue is hyperbolic extremism, wouldn't you agree? Also, it's more nuanced than you presented it. I want other people to thrive and be happy. I want the well-being of others to be as high as possible. For lots of reasons. But one reason is......because that would make MY life better. Truly smart wise people understand that the better their environment is, the better off they are. And part of your "environment" is the people and culture and society all around you. Kindness and altruism and empathy isn't purely based on selflessness. It's more about being smart about pursuing that which benefits all of us the most. And nothing about that is antithetical to the tenets of TST. Indeed, I can't think of ANY other religion that pursues those ends with the same level of clear eyed honesty and dedication to genuinely ethical outcomes. Meanwhile, Buddhists often insist that we must see through the illusion of, well....basically everything, and accept a sort of nihilism(I'm being facetious a bit btw). While Christians.....well, where to begin? They seem obsessed with harming anyone who doesn't conform to their authoritarian impulses....think the world is going to end any day now, and that this is a GOOD thing.....and see morality as meaningless since all of their sins are forgiven anyway....and it's all about avoiding their god's cosmic punishment anyway. Talk about myopic selfishness and moral nihilism.....

If your peace of mind is dependent on how other peoples' mindset is due to their general welfare, you're gonna drive yourself insane trying to control something beyond your control. Also, we have yet to see Christians retaliate against others who don't believe the way they do in an organized, massive manner. If anything, it is the Christians who are the ones being persecuted by the gov (US in particular which is ironic considering that country was supposedly created for people to be free from religious persecution). If we're going by your ultimate goal based on your first paragraph, lets have a fair hypothetical go at it. - if you have a billiAnddollars, gold, food to last you years AND a hot significant other, Christians, in general, won't steal your belongings nor covet your main squeeze because it goes against their rule based on the Commandments. - if you have one of the best dogs in the world but they bark constantly at night, Christians, in general, won't sneak in your yard at night to kill it/them because it goes against their rule based on the Commandments. Don't get me wrong. Christians aren't perfect at all and there were likely some who committed those crimes stated previously. But we rarely hear of them at all, if ever, on a.mass scale. Presuming what they might do because you might have heard it somewhere being parroted versus the action of delivering the threat itself are different things. So Christian beliefs are not a pandemic on society in general because they live by the golden rule of treating others as they want them to treat you. I say that satisfies your desire for wanting self peace of mind because others are content within thwmselves. Now, lets go by satanists. Do you actually think they would abide by YOUR desire for self peace of mind because they can fulfill their own vices thus leaving you alone? What if those desires require taking your things, your loved ones or your dignity? They can openly rebut those accusations but we do know their "god" is a master of lying. And we do know their "god" does things the complete opposite of the God of Christianity.

But the moment Lucien goes on say, Fox News, it's literally a 2 minute segment where they open with a question like, "So Lucien, why _do_ you think evil is good?" And then the entire rest of the segment is literally just Lucien being like "um, so the entire framing of your question only proves you literally did zero research on what TST even....is." And then it's over. But Lucien knows what he's going into on those segments....and always comes prepared with perfectly honed one-liners and subtle knowing smirks to the camera. The most recent one with Jesse Waters is just....painful. But Lucien clearly realized it was a joke anyway, so he just had fun with it.

Anton levay disadvantages is their weak at protecting pluralism, and they weren't political. Their point isn’t that the zygot is not eventually a separate genetic structure independent from the mother, but that the mother is required to carry it to term and should have a legal right to end that process for any reason. Postpartum depression causes health risks and can be avoided by abortive process. In addition, the notion one needs “God” to forgive them for things done in a body is a belief intended to control. There is, for anyone who tried the “promises” of the “God” sufficient evidence to debunk the belief in the “God” rewarding blessing persons, giving, etc. Many people worldwide blessed those people and experienced a life of suffering immediately following the process. That would seem to indicate that the “God” is in some situations incapable of bringing “their” word to pass. It seems far likelier that those were the words of men and their authority to bring it to pass was mitigated by someone who was capable of interfering. That seems not to be a God but men and women and children seeking to make words come to pass.

I think TST is doing a lot of needed work. I do wish Lucien would address his ties to a racist past though. He wrote a piece inn2017 and said, “We simply have no place for simple-minded supremacist, nationalist ideologues, and it’s impossible to interpret our tenets otherwise.” But he has said many very racist and derogatory statements towards black people, promoted a book with white supremest ideologies, and kept company with openly racist nazis in his past. I left baptism in my early teens, when i was old enough to see the hypocrisy. The whole idea that satanists don't worship satan isn't correct. Some do. Tst and cos own the narrative but satanism is essentially supposed to be a decentralized and rebellious religion. There isn't supposed to be one true satanism, you're missing the point. Anyone who venerates satan is a Satanist But satanism isn't necessarily a religion in the typical western sense. It has variation like hinduism. Some satanists are polytheists some are monotheists some only worship satan some only worship demons some only worship themselves it is a complex issue. People downplay the occult origins of satanism and the polytheistic origins of the demonic names. It's not scholarly and it's disingenuous to say atheistic satanists are the only ones. Being an atheist myself, y'all tragically don't realize you've become zealots yourselves. Our knowledge of micro-biology and genetics has come a long way since the seventies Roe v. Wade and the evidence is undeniable: conception gives life to a human zygote, a living member of the genus Homo, specifically Homo-Sapiens, that expresses it's own complete and separate human genetic identity for it's own functionality and growth, not the mothers. It is by definition a distinct human individual, in the sense of an indivisible human organism that only temporarily relies on the environment in the mother's womb to survive, just like we all rely on each other and on mother earths environment to survive after birth. Separating being human from being a person can only be a subjective quasi-religious belief, that is predicated on sacralizing some aspect that only born humans have, and that would justify endowing them with the holy right to life. Is that what you guys stand for, condoning that unfalsifiable beliefs should rule over the life and death of countless millions of humans ? How long will this hypocrisy from so-called secularists last and will you give the ethical high-ground to religious groups on this issue? Reproductive rights are about being free to choose to prevent reproduction from taking place with all the means that are available to us. However, when reproduction has happened, bodily autonomy doesn't extend to harming other humans or destroying their bodies, unless there is a valid medical reason and their are no alternatives.
