I'm a 78 year old retired musician, singer/songwriter, and performer. Discovering Dimash has resurrected my old Musical Soul. He was a child prodigy who had perfect pitch at age 2 and began piano voice training at age 5. Now at 26, he has over 20 years of vocal training. He became an international superstar at 23. He has earned a B.A. in Classical Voice, an M.A. in Contemporary Voice (jazz, pop, R & B), and an M.A. in Music Composition. He is shockingly good for sure. That is Dimash's real power, his character that shines through the crazy singing. He commits body, mind and soul into each lyric and CONVEYS it. And as you saw at the end there, while the outtro is being played by the band, he still remains in focus and connected to the audience, despite his singing having been completed. Compelling and ridiculously good at the same time.

The band is AStudio from Kazakhstan from late 90s, now based in Russia. Dimash team is called DQ team (Dimash Qudaibergen), only the percussionist Ilya Petrovsky is part of his team, very talented.

Thank you for your reaction - really enjoyed it. They realized he has perfect pitch when he started piano lessons at 5. So they transferred him to the children's program at the arts university, and he's been studying since. Still does, 3 hours a day. It seems weird, having collected so much info about him... I'm 69. long past the stage I thought I'd ever obsess again... but his performances are so amazing I'm driven to try to understand how he does what he does. Of course... he's an artist, and it's impossible to ever break that down and understand. It's not like there is a formula for producing genius... yet, we're driven to try, aren't we? His technique is flawless, but it's the choices he makes, the artistry that makes him so compelling.

Welcome to the world of Dimash, the best singer in the world. I am a 69 year old woman with no real musical background except that I love to listen to music...I have never been obsessed with any singer like I am with Dimash. he appeals to all ages, genders, nationalities. I few from Nebraska to New York City (never been there before) to his concert in December and will do it again if he tours in US ..The connection with other Dears there was amazing, even though we had never met....When this covid this is over I hope he does..He is getting some American exposure now as they are playing some of his music on MTV Friday night Live!!!

Loved your shoutout to iconic guitarists, and how hearing them the for first time is like hearing Dimash's voice the first time. Yes, it was like that for me too. The craziest thing about Dimash is that, just when you think he can't surprise you anymore, Dimash will surprise you. Sometimes the surprise is that while you're expecting vocal acrobatics and high notes, he will sing a complete song using only 1.5 - 2 octaves and move you to tears. Subscribed.

This was an event to honor the band "A Studio"...Their lead singer had passed away a few years ago, so they asked Dimash if he would sing this song..(the original version is on YT)...the gentleman on the keyboard composed this song, and included in the band are the original members...Dimash now has his own band and you can see them in his concert videos...he has his own dancers and back up singers too...

I am so upset at USA (I live here) that we glorify porn (WAP) and not someone as gifted as this man! It makes me sick that he is not bigger in the USA as someone who has a lyric that is “are you dumb, stupid, or dumb” or someone that would rather use porn to sell music than talent or skill. We have some gifted people here for sure. But what is trending now is just based on butt implants, prison sentences and who can be the bigger whore. I love Dimash because he has worked his entire life, earning degrees in music to better understand. Learning other languages and instruments. But I understand some people just want to be a slave to corporate America and make junk music.

They lied to him to get him in the show, then blasted him very rudely when he decided to bow out (and give up the million dollars he was on track to win) after realizing he was competing against children, one of whom was a little Kazakh girl he knew and mentored. My mind is still blown each and every time even though I have been listening to him non stop for a year and a half already. Each time like the first time. And not necessarily songs where he uses so much of his range (although they are also mind blowing of course), but not less so songs where only limited range is required, because it doesn't matter - whatever and however he sings, his voice sounds amazing, it always fits the song and the emotions just get to you. He lives through each and every song and you just live it together with him. I would suggest you to react to a song where he doesn't use that much range so you understand what I am talking about and what an amazing vocalist and performer he is regardless of range. 8:58 his mother (opera singer) and Igor Krutoy (impressario/mentor/collaborator. This song was originally done by the pianist/band about 15 or so years ago. Gracious Dimash brought them on board for this production.

Actually Dimash started piano at 5. Later he only sang in the choir. His real training started when he entered college with Marat Aitimov, around 14/15.

Dimash , for what i have read and seen, he highly appreciates his roots and exposes them when he can in his presentations. He is very respectful of everyone and kind. He was competing in The World´s Best in 2019 but he retired. This caused annoyance in Rupaul but Dimash was more concerned with leaving the little ones that competed with him frustrated and seeing the level and quality that he has, he would very likely have won. By the way the prize was of 1,000,000.00 dollars.

I recommend that you react to a song Dimash wrote as a tribute to his hero Michael Jackson called "Give Me Your Love." This performance is completely different from anything else you've heard from him so far. Since you're from the U.S. l suggest you react to his Barclays Center concert version from New York. Dimash made a guest appearance here, opening the New Wave competition for young pop talents. He was invited by the originator and longtime organizer of this event - the famous Russian composer Igor Krutoy (this is the man in the white shirt who gives Dimash a standing ovation). After meeting Dimash, he returned from musical retirement to collaborate with him and compose especially for him . You're going to continue to react to Dimash, so you'll often see Igor accompany him on the piano, in the songs he composed for him, or old Igor's songs that Dimash has now raised to the Olympus level. Just to say that I heard Dimash for the first time in this song and I was awerstruck and time stopped for me and I stopped breathing. And yes, it charmed me, I am Dear forever. Great reaction! I felt exactly like you 2 yrs ago. Dimash sings to your soul and his connection with his audience is unparalleled. He performs in so many genres & languages. It's quite amazing. He's simply the most talented performing artist I've ever witnessed in my lifetime. He sings as if he's living every phrase and even if you can't understand the language you feel as though you do. His abilities are angelic and breathtaking. It's impossible to not become a DEAR. ❤️DQ!

I watch a LOT of reaction videos, and I have to say you are one of the best out there. Keep at it, and developing your style. You are on point for what makes Dimash so special: combining amazing technical skills with emotion and connection. I have heard this song maybe a dozen times (I guess I am a baby "Dear"), and it never fails to be moving and to reveal more nuances each time I listen. Live performance perfection is a sign of the truly great vocalist, and Dimash just dominates that element every time he hits the stage. I certainly hope the day will come that I can see him live here in the States.

Oh yeah!! I first found him years ago and I must have listened to SOS a thousand times!! He's the best vocalist in the world there's just nobody that could even come close! Since you're like me, I know you know The 5th Element and the song that the blue alien 👽 sings Diva Dance, yeah he does it perfectly in his Bastau concert!!!!
