Russian composer Igor Krutoy wrote this song in 1994. And Dimash was born in 1994. This song was sung by many good singers. The song was popular in Russia. And so, Dimash grew up, became a singer and sang this famous song. But he sang this love song in a different way, more slowly. The lyrics of the song got a different meaning. And, most importantly, Dimash included three inserts in the song: AVE MARIA, AVE AMOR and angelic vocals. Such inserts will not allow any other singer to make today. These inserts turned the song into something magical.

Song was written by Igor kutroy the guy playing piano. Dimash puts feelings into the song. Kutroy came out of retirement just to work with dimash. He first saw dimash perform in 2017 or 2018 when dimash performed sinful passion. They performed several songs together for several yrs . They continue to be close friends. Dimash is kazak and Igor is Russian. A millionaire composer.

This song is about mature (maybe the last) love of a person who survived many losses and breakups, and is so afraid to believe in love again and is painfully aware that he/she can lose this new love at any moment. But due to this new wonderful love this person is ready to forgive and forget all the pain in his/her life, and is timidly trying to start trusting and feeling again. So this song has a profound meaning and should be sung by a mature grown up performer who is capable of understanding it due to rich life experience. Dimash is relatively young, and the fact that he manages to convey the uncertainty, pain and fear of a person who had suffered a lot and is afraid to love again is in itself a miracle.

This song is like 25 years old. I listened to it when I was a child. And I didn’t like. I didn’t even know the lyrics coz I simply didn’t care.. but when Dimash sang it, it became a whole new song and I payed attention to the lyrics for the first time in 25 years of its existence. I think one could interpret the lyrics to be someone longing & dreaming of a love.. perhaps they lost, perhaps they never even had.. one could also interpret dreaming of a lover you still have & are enamored over. Many interpretations, & I’ve clearly heard it each way, different times I’ve listened to this. I can hear the longing as pain, but I can also hear his softness like a lover whispering in your ear, his notes almost caressing you like tender kisses.. when madly in love the longing can continue even when you’re getting it! And a prayer that this dream like love never end. Just some interpretations..

Your right about the microphone. I saw him live and he was the last performer. I thought first they did something with the volume because it was so much louder then with the other singer before him. Sometimes he holds the mic out at full arms stretch so its probably not picking up a lot at that point. He's amazing. LOVE IS LIKE A DREAM is about love being so strong that he doesn't want to lose it. Beautiful song by Igor written about 25 years ago and Dimash has given it a completely new life. Nice reaction. This song is about the finally found love. It is about the person who suffered and struggled so much his entire life to find the true love and finally found one, it is like a dream and person does not want this dream (love) ever to end like usually dreams come to the end when we wake up. As usual Dimash conveys the message so precise and genuine even through the computer screen . I actually was so happy and privileged to see Dimash live and it is not describable with words. По сути да, не нужен, он же обучался академическому (оперному) пению, где предполагается "живое" безмикрофонное пение, в опере шептунов нет, там нужны сильные громкие голоса - классика! Оперные театры были построены задолго до изобретения микрофона.
