The bsides definitely took the cake on this album. Espresso, Cruel, and Icon were my favorites. While this title wasn't my favorite Twice title track, it has grown on me A LOT.

No matter how good the tittle track , TWICE always had B-sides that compared to it just by sound (leaving M/V visuals aside) would overshadow it. Especially the past 5 releases there are more and more B-sides tittle track worthy.

Everything on the set is real btw. They rented this whole place wc was expensive asf. If I remember it correctly it's Korea's national Science center??? Lol I forgot the name. It's like the NASA of Korea. So it's pretty big and expensive.

During Twice's reaction video to the Scientist M/V, I think Momo mentioned the robot arm scenes took forever because the crew was having a hard time with them. lol

This song and the whole album is fantastic, twice never lets the side down, righto guvner. A twice reaction with the grinch and dune references...oh that's the sh*t and I'm here for it.😅👌 Great reaction, funny as always and it helped many small hearts grow 3x the size today.

I totally agree that there are at least three to four songs in this album that are better suited as title songs… E.g. Icon, Cruel, Last waltz, moonlight and I also like all three sub units songs especially 1,3,2. Candy is also cool as it is a gifted song to all Onces

wow! that's first! listen to b-sides before title track. :D 'scientist' as title track sound as it should be, they are 'scientist' :D (and they get loose a little in 'remix' :D) and it worth 'title track' because of the concept as it is 'conclusion' and 'summary' to the album 'formula of love' (as 'love have no formula' and all b-sides are varies of scenario as evidence.) (i think this is once again TWICE go 'hard concept' same as 'TWICEtagram') have a good day. :)

I do agree that Twice has had some stanout b-sides especially on Formula of Love and Eyes Wide Open. Otherwise Scientist is still a solid song. Also, please react to Billlie's Ring X Ring, Weki Meki's Siesta and Oneus' Luna videos.

I agree that the song may not sound as interesting as some of the B-side, but I disagree that they chose a safe song as title track. This song is not really that mainstream as a kpop song (Alcohol Free is also not). Twice has been releasing not-that-typical kpop types of title tracks (both Korean / Japanese) this year. I felt this song is the most suitable title track, as it has a clear concept (science) and fit the Formula of Love album title as a whole, while the B-sides are about a specific type of love / feeling but do not encompass the album title singularly.

I completely agree that labels and companies almost always pick title tracks that are safe and easily consumed by the masses. While I enjoy this song, it is one of TWICE’s weakest title tracks and definitely the weakest comeback overall this year, which is a shame because the video is awesome and the line distribution is really good.

Agree 100%. I think Scientist is the weakest track on the album (except for maybe a couple of ballads). It's a no-skip album for me.
