This guy... Every time he opens his mouth he makes you feel how he wants you to feel. His covers are amazing and always different from the originals and he never forgets to pay respects to the creators. Laura Fabian was so amazed by this cover that she wanted to meet him, sing with him and even wrote songs for him. He gave justice to Freddie Mercury, one of the greatest vocalist of all times, making a unique cover of Show Must Go On. Always great to see you react.

Dimashs highest note so far is a D8 in unforgettable day live at gakku it’s amazing. You should react to daybreak live at bastau for the most emotional and passionate performance from Dimash it’s a very sad but true story of a 2 year old boy who watched his parents fall to there death in a cable car accident in China 1999, the lady who wrote the song adopted the small boy. Dimash went on cable cars to try to get the feelings that the parents must have been feeling at that time, it shows too, like I said earlier it’s the most emotional and passionate performance I’ve ever seen. It has subtitles too. You should also react to opera 2, show must go on, queen medley with super vocal boys, all by myself and hello, last 5 from the singer show again. You are right, he isn’t just about high notes. Majority of his songs are in a “normal” range without any high or crazy stuffs but they are very beautiful like his Kazakh songs. Those are usually my favourites. You should listen to Samaltau, Qairan Elim, Amanat…. They are Dimash’s soul.

Dimash won the round with this round . The audience votes each round and the lowest scoring performer leaves. Dimash was almost voted off after he performed Uptowm Funk for round 5 so he wasn't about to let that happen! Lara Fabian is the one who made this song well known.

This was a performance from Dimash, this song did not test him in anyway. The puffing at the end was all for the audience. He won this round, he did NOT win the show over all he came in 2nd. Unbelievable I know, but politics came in to it. He was a wild card entry, the rest were seasoned performers, Dimash was not meant to go beyond 2nd round. But his first song SOS brought in 600 million viewers and about the same amount of fans, it would look pretty stupid for them to have lost in the 2nd round. SOS on this show as the song and performance which broke him out into the international world. He just rocketed from there. He was then greeted with body guards which he had no clue why he needed them, until he came out to the public. The look on his face is a picture. Dimash did not win the competition because he was not Chinese and only Chinese could win. However, as Dimash said, he did not lose it either. He was obviously the best by far.

This is a cover. One of Dimash's vocal heroes when he was a young boy was the Belgian artist Lara Fabian, who has famously covered this. You might want to check her - you'll see a strong influence from Lara on the emotional performances he does. It's extremely difficult to do emotion like they do... if you let yourself go a millimeter too far, your voice closes. So performing at max emotion for your ability to still control your voice is a high wire act.

Another very enjoyable reaction. Adagio will always be one of my favorite Dimash performances. Dimash appears here in the fifth season of Hunan Television's “I Am A Singer.” “I Am A Singer” is an annual Chinese music competition between famous and established professional singers. The audience phones in to determine the winner after each episode. It is the same throughout the entire show; 500 with musical backgrounds judge the show by points each week. At 22 years old, Dimash was the youngest participant in the show's history and competed against these professional and top-selling Chinese singers as a ‘wildcard’ competitor. The competition consists of 14 rounds, lasts almost 4 months, and competitors are eliminated throughout the season. Every performance is live, and no lip-syncing or auto-tune is permitted. Pure unadulterated vocal ability only. Dimash’s mother later said that he hoped to reach at least the middle stage of the competition. This was the sixth episode of the competition. Dimash had been considered the weakest contestant at the beginning of the show, given that he was completely unknown to the audience. He had been invited as a wildcard and was the first foreigner and youngest person to ever compete in the show. After his first performance (S.O.S.), he became a superstar in China overnight. His Chinese competitors called him their "little imported brother." The other already well-known contestants were in absolute awe of him and joked that they might as well go home. Dimash won the first two episodes! He also won the 6th for this rendition of “Adagio”, a song made famous by Lara Fabian. First place overall went to the famous Chinese Sandy. Sandy's first album came out before Dimash was even born. Dimash took second place overall; however, he lost by a narrow margin. He lost points for his performance of “Uptown Funk.” Although Dimash did not win the show, he immediately became a beloved star in China. As part of the contest, contestants/performers are required to perform one original song they have composed. Dimash sang “Unforgettable Day”, a song he wrote when he was still in his teens - it's a love song. He sang in both the original Kazakh and Chinese even though he did not speak Chinese at the time and had to have a translator with him throughout the competition. If you want pop with an incredible message I suggest Golden 2021 Digital Concert, even though Golden is in English, I would definitely suggest having the subtitles on, the message is about fighting judgment and oppression, to a rock/pop beat, often starts his concerts now with this❤️

Adagio is an italian word, that means "Slowly". This is also used in music to define the pace of a music (a bit slow, between lento and andante) and also as a name of a piece of a sonate, concerto or symphony that is using that specific pace. The music from this song of Lara is a pop translation of an italian classic piece called "Albinoni's Adagio". It was written in 1958 by Remo Giazotto who was an admirer of Albinoni, a musician from the 17th/18th century. He claimed it was from him and give his music this name but there is consensus today that he most probably has composed it himself. The classic music piece is globally famous and was translated into a pop song for Lara. She wrote lyrics in english and italian for it and is the original performer. She kept the title Adagio and wrote a story with a double meaning: a woman that is awaiting to find her love / an artist that is awaiting the god of inspiration. This song has become a classic and has been covered by many : Shirley Bassey (!!), Dimash, Floor Jansen, Polina Gagarina, Giulia Falcone, … They made great covers but none of these match the storytelling amazing performance of Lara in this concert From Lara with Love. Her italian version is also amazing.

It's not about the high notes no. It's his stage presence, teqnuice, control, the emotions, power, and his humble gentle personality. The whole package! Dimash compose himself. But mostly his friend and world known russian composer Igor Krutoy. (The one behind piano). If you want to compere he has a few covers like "the show must go on" by Queen. "Helo" by Lionel Richie. He sings covers, traditional Kazakh songs, songs that are written for him and orginals that he writes or co-writes. Regarding pausing or not pausing, Dimash Dears simply love to see whatever it is you feel. We love to share the wonder, amazement and awe with everyone else. If you are speechles, that's fine by us!! Analysis by a vocal coach is a different thing and we like that too (as long as they don't criticise too much LOL!!). So just do whatever it is you want. We appreciate you just as you are.

Just think Dimash was 22 years old during this performance, look at where he is now at 28 (May 24, 2022). The Singer competition was his on stage intro for the 1st time as an adult. By the way he was the only nonChinese competitor in 2017 and he came in 2nd place. Great reaction.
