Ésa noche, el padre de Dimash llegó desde Kazajistán a China para ver la performance, Dimash no sabía que entre el público estaba su padre... cuando terminó de cantar, agradeció al público y ahí fue cuando vio a su padre... bajó del escenario y fue a su encuentro... lo abrazó tan fuerte y lo levantó en el aire, Dimash es muy muy alto, mide casi 2 metros de altura, era tal su emoción que no paraba de abrazar a su padre, luego cuando fueron detrás del escenario, Dimash le preguntó a su padre si había cantado bien... Dimash es tan humilde que pide la opinión de sus padres siempre... los padres de Dimash también son cantantes muy respetados en Kazajistán... deberías buscar ése video donde él ve a su padre y lo abraza, fue muy emocionante por que Dimash estaba solo en China durante el concurso... no veía a su familia durante muchos meses, por eso tanta emoción, aparte en este concurso, él tenía apenas 22 años.

Thank you for this reaction to Dimash. You are going to love your journey listening to and learning about the greatest singer in the world. You asked for a recommendation of other singers. I also recommend you check out Hua Chenyu. He was also on the Singer show a season after Dimash. He returned in 2020 and won. Hua's concerts sell out within minutes of the tickets becoming available. You may want to start out with his performances on the Singer show (I Am Singer) which are superb. Dimash and Hua Chenyu admire each others work and do not desire any credit for themselves but instead they put their fans first and desire to reach their hearts through their music by the stories they tell and the strong emotions conveyed in each performance.

I had to laugh when you said he’s always really serious and that he doesn’t smile until the end of the performance, because this is the first performance we saw where his cheeky, mischievous sense of humor comes out! Also, there is an extended clip of this song where Dimash finds out his dad (the man they kept showing in the shadows) was there watching his performance. It’s worth watching, even if you only fast forward to the end to where he sees his dad, just for their heartwarming reunion. Dimash had been alone in China for a couple of weeks, getting progressively more homesick, to the point that the producers were concerned, or so I’ve read. Anyway, no one was certain if Kanat (his dad) would be able to get there for that performance, so it was a surprise for Dimash when he saw him standing there. Dimash masterpieces you absolutely must experience. "Know " and "Vocalize " which follow the same melody but are sung completely different. Also "The Love of Tired Swans ", "Ikanaide ", and many others. This song is actually at the bottom of my Dimash list in spite of the impressive high notes. Peace and love from Pennsylvania USA.

The judges for this 2017 version of the Chinese singing competition known as "The Singer" is actually the audience. They are all vocal coaches and/or music teachers. After all of the singers or groups have performed for each round they vote and rank each performance The man in the shadows is Dimash's father...Dimash did not know he had flown in from their native Kazakhstan to watch him perform. If you get a chance to watch the entire video you will see a demonstration of their very close relationship.

This is the one -still back in 2017- age 23 I think - where he does smile a lot & flirt a little with the audience! But he got anxious about it after the performance, realising his father came from Kazakhstan on a surprise visit to China to hear him. (You will see the camera tracking his fathers face during parts of this performance and him doing a fist pump at the end ) Domash was worried, he said later, that he might be seen as being 'too cheeky'/ not serious enough. Of course Everyone LOVES him being Cheeky! 👍😊 Dimash was is China for 3 or 4 months constructing & taping several performances with The Singer's Orchestra and Producers, so his family couldn't be with him the whole time. No-one, including Dimash, had anticipated he would be staying for the whole course of that years series and there were times when he was very homesick. Dimash is very connected with his family and culture.This was also a time of huge adjustments for Dimash, as the Chinese audience went nuts for him. From the night his first performance aired he was an 'Overnight Star' with hundreds of millions of fans and needing personal security to go anywhere. Unfortunately the original singer of this song; Vitas - or his 'people' - made a big fuss about this performance. Something to do with the producers not obtaining the correct permissions/ Copyright? Anyways.. out of respect for Vitas, Dimash hasn't performed this since.

And you could wach his concert in America is on you tube❤ He had a concert amazing concert there and the mistake from America was that he also was in a competition called " World best" and he end up in the final where he was forced ( he didn t knew) to compete with two tallented kids ,and he stepped down to let the kids winn and Rue Paul was very disrespectfull to him😢 ,then he also did a concert in America ( i think in New York) and he was amazing, amazing. Wach that concert, not his performens on the " World best" becose they cut him off...and he didn t deserv what they did to him...and i am so sorry to say but for Dimash is better to stay in Asia or Europe and i don t want to say more. The original person who did the song was a guy named Vitas, after this show Vitas and his managers told Dimash that he could no longer use the song.

This song was originally by Vitas a Russian singer and him as well as Lionel Richie both tried to sue him for doing their songs better than them... although they lost the suit, they were able to forbid Dimash from ever singing their songs again 🥺....so definitely check out Dimash's version of Lionel Richie's 'Hello'!!! And he also did a medley called Forever Queen... with the super vocal boys.. it's pretty incredible!!! I could really use a friend....

Of course he has ballads. He also has pop, rock, Kazakh folk. Sone nice original ballads in Kazakh: Unforgettable day, Mahabbat ber Magan , Akkuym. There’s an interesting interview on his channel. In the interviews playlist. It’s 40min long. There’s the full interview vid and also 2 videos of the same interview divided in 2 parts, but the subs have problems in those. He’s quite amazing to look at live he’s about 6ft 3 in’s I think ,so very tall and he was very slim then, I think he’s filled out a little since 2018. I do believe he’s already been to the USA so you must have missed him . He getting more well known in the west now but when I saw him nobody I knew had heard of him ,such a shame. He is completely incredible and could sing anything. The other competitors were all amazed as he was a wild card going into this competition. There is videos of him singing Acapulco and he sounds the same

This was a competition in China and this was their Chinese band. Dimash was the first foreigner ever to be invited to compete. He was also the youngest competitor. They called him Little Imported Brother. He was up against Chinese professional singers. He sing the first song on the show and he won that night. He was supposed to be there only two episodes but after the first song he was so popular that they had to get him some guards. He came in second place. They couldn’t let the foreigner win! He was asked back the next year as a guest and performer. The name of the show was “I Am Singer”. The videos are on KZbin and so are all of his performances. It was 4 months long and a lot of his early music is on that show. He was 22 years old. 😊

This was a dream for him to perform in the USA and we hope it won`t be the last. I suggest you to listen to Across Endless Dimensions , Stranger, Know Vocalise, and the kazakh sons are also amazing, Durdaraz, Daididau , Samaltau......Ikanaide from the Tokio Jazz Festival 2021- And the more pop and commercial songs , Fly away, Be with me, Golden, Give me your love, any of his songs you choose will blow your mind!!!
