This is a cover of an "uncoventional" song of an italian punk rock group called cccp; they made a very different feel to this one, even if it is faithful too to the original. It starts saying "loving you makes me weak" (I would translate with tired, but it's not so right, because "affatica" means makes me tired, like tired after a hard work)... and then it continue saying love me still, do it sweetly, for a year, a mounth or an hour love me like we're lost... something like this). This was a very unusual kind of song for the cccp, because they were very punk (but in a different way) and with very deep rhymes but not conventional. One of my fav italian band by the way at the time in the eighties.

You don’t seem like a weirdo at all. The 4 of them have very intense chemistry and that’s why they work as a band so great. And this performance of this song was tame in terms of looks. In the Radio Italia performance of this song Damiano (the singer) and Thomas (the guitarist) look like they’re about to either fight or profess their love for each other lol. It’s the most intense shit I’ve seen, even more than this one. You should definitely check it out. But it’s clear that being really close friends helps the dynamic of the band immensely.

7:53 I appreciate the fact that you noticed that and pointed out. He always does that and it's beautiful to watch. He really loves and respect his bandmates. About the way he looks at people I kinda agree. He has an intense yet sweet stare. Last thing: they did a phenomenal job rearranging this! Great work from all of them.

Actually Damiano was fixing a problem on cables to help Thomas and that's the reason he stepped back. But well.. Talent on stage is also this: being able not to show problems or mistakes and they did it well. That's incredibile how Damiano were able to immediately analyse the situation, think about the solution and in the meantime keep singing
@julyriver88513 жыл бұрын
@@valentinomarinozzi9681 I got what you're saying and it's very true but Thomas had a problem with the pedalboard which he quickly fixed. The one with a cable problem was Victoria. Maybe with the ear monitor's one. You can see him trying to fix something behind her back during the solo. At the end of the performance he walks towards her once again. Damiano always steps back to let Thomas and Victoria have their moment during the solo (watch these: kzbin.info/www/bejne/oYHapIKJgbShqbs --- kzbin.info/www/bejne/qom1nYuEfcejgNE) But what you said is true nonetheless 🙂

You're spot-on about the relationship between the band members. There's a video on KZbin of them playing when they were still in high school, sitting in someone's living room. Damiano, the vocalist, is sitting up front closest to the camera and singing his heart out with all the talent we still see today, but every so often, he looks back over his shoulder to the other band members for cues and return looks of acknowledgement that he's doing things to their satisfaction. It's beautiful to watch. They have a rapport that is clearly special and that really comes through in their music.

Not only I get chills from their songs, but also by how emotional you get listening to them. Seeing someone across the ocean having the same feelings while listening to them (without even understanding the lyrics) is really incredible. And also another thing I appreciate and really like of your reactions is how you notice all the little details like I do, the gestures, the moves, the looks, all the little pieces that together make Måneskin what they are. Keep it up with the content! p.s. The name of the singer is Damiano, as you may already know, which you can pronounce correctly by saying "Dameano" I think. Also if I'm correct your name is Angelo, which I'm pretty sure has Italian origins, so you have a deep connection with Italy and his art! ahahah

I love your reactions! What makes this band different from any other band out there is that the frontman always makes sure to let even the others get their well deserved spotlight (not only on their live perfomances, but even in their songs because in every one of them there is at least a solo instrumental part). And also: they truly care about each other, you can see that. They have said time and time again that before being a group of people who works together, they are a group of friends who like to hang out together and play some music. And it shows.

They slayed this song, it’s a song that lets Damiano fully express his sensuality, his (and everybody’s) craving to be loved, it looks like he’s asking the other members of the band (Thomas especially) to “still love him” (as the title says). Even though the one represented by the lyrics is a toxic love... or even more because of it, his plea sounds so real.

It's not weird to say that they seem like brothers. The band members have said that they're like a family, which I think is really sweet and noticable. this song is also a kick in the ass to whoever thinks italy is still stuck to the 60s and can't do punk rock music. it might be a not so well know genre outside of Italy, but we definitely have some influential bands as well. in fact, amandoti is a song from the LEGENDARY group cccp, true pioneers of the 80s-90s punk scene. maneskin covered this during sanremo together with their coach Manuel Agnelli, founder and frotman of the alt rock group afterhours. There's a whole world that HAS to be discovered and i'm glad you took time to appreciate it more and more:)

This is a piece written by an Italian group called CCCP The text 'Love me a year, a month, an hour' is the same thing that the protagonist of the novel 'The White Nights' by Fyodor Dostoevsky says to her beloved. But she is in love with another, so she repeats love me again, love me hopelessly. Others, however, say that the text is the experience lived by Lindo Ferretti (the singer of the CCP) with heroin addiction. However great choice of these guys to sing this piece and make it current.

Don't know if someone has already told you on another post... this is not an original one, this is a cover from a 1990 song of CCCP (an italian punk-rock band of the '80s). Here the Maneskin made an amazing re-arrangement, played by them the song acquires a totally different vibe 'cause the original one (still beautiful but, as I said, very different) is a SLOW TANGO... So the song was literally given a makeover!... There is another famous italian singer (Gianna Nannini) that made a cover of "Amandoti" about 15 years ago: I love her and I love her cover, but I think that this one is even better... These guys are really badasses

I have thoroughly enjoyed all of your Måneskin reactions. You have the same enthusiasm as I do for them. Finding a new band to love deeply is a thing I find only happens to me every five years or so. Counting back before Måneskin for me it was The Struts, and before them.... a while back to The Darkness in the early 2000s. Måneskin's hooked me for life and they're barely out of their teens! They'll probably still be making music when I'm in my 80s (that's 40 years from now, btw.) If I may be so bold, I'd like to offer up a band you probably haven't heard of, and I know no one reacts to because outside of a few pockets around the globe where they made it big, they're largely unknown, especially in the USA. But, they're my favourite band and have been since 1993. From Canada, The Tea Party. I figure if you're going to react to a song, might as well start with their first single, The River. It's the opening song to the concert in the link below, which is from 2012. I hope you give them a shot. Judging by your tastes, you will like them! Cheers :) kzbin.info/www/bejne/epzQpKWspKx7kJI
