The top-end he hit was an A4 to a B4. I know he has hit a B0 in another song so that is a confirmed 4-octave range. I know some people go crazy and say 5 octaves or even 5 1/2 octave range, but I personally haven't heard him above the B4. If anyone can show me different please do so.
@StarSong9363 жыл бұрын
On putting my headphones on - Well, the upside to that would be I wouldn't be jumping around my room trying to catch my collectables when they fall off the shelves because the whole house is shaking. So maybe I should, or maybe I like it when my whole body shakes from the bass. @ 6:25 This is one reason I watch you videos. I love it when you jump out of your chair. Well, that and the quality of the music. @ 7:01 A Q-6 Notes only go from A - G. On the other hand I loved the music Marilyn Manson did for Resident Evil, and he mentioned one of the notes he used was R. He also said he's not a classically trained musician and frequently uses a wavy line to indicate what he's looking for on the musical scale. Take a look at the movie, and pay attention to the music used. Manson said he also used sound effects as part of the music.

Great reaction! Love the channel man! Keep it up! ❤️ p.s. the low notes where A1s, G1s, and and the last one was a subharmonic E1. Please feel free to correct me because I am probably at least partially wrong and am just going off of familiarity with his voice.

When a capella singers layer their own voice they do use that visual technique that Peter Hollens pioneered. Peter has collaborated with both Tim Foust and Avi Kaplan on occasion. Tim on Misty Mountains and Avi on Black is the Color of My True Love's Hair.

That was a G1 move to an A1 then the drop to the E1. Nice little movement there. Danced all around the F1 that he hits with ease quite often.

I can save you a lot of trouble whose the best bass. They all have something special in their necks. vocal chords the size of your fist. and they each do something that the others cannot. Geoff is a master of subharmonics, while Tim and Avi each have their own techniques. Something that I always run back to when talking about bass singers is Oktavist they are mostly Russian basses that sing in the first octave (the lowest notes on the piano) I have even heard some of them sing off the piano. these guys don't have the range that we associate with Geoff, Tim, and Avi but they can sing really low. they have some video's on You Tube that are worth a listen, Just look for the word Oktavist in the description. Anyway Im really glad to hear you are doing well. I'm also glad youtube has been a positive in your life I hope it continues to be that. I for one am always rooting for you.

Quite interestingly, Geoff does not consider himself a bass. More a baritone with a good bass range - has to do more with where his sweet spot is. Also, at one time, he'd wanted to be a rock tenor, from what he's said. Kinda blows my mind.
