Nice and clear, I like that you have lots of examples of colors and you show the palettes, most teachers don't do that. At least that I have seen

Thank you Lori! You have helped me more than any other colored pencil artist because you do give us the colors with their names. Very seldom do I see that. Your tutorials are clear and consice, very easy to follow and I learn so much from every video!,

Great results! I’d love to see a tutorial on different color metals in actual surfaces, like pipes, clockworks, plates, basically elements you can find on steampunk pages 😍

Hello, I'm relaying this message from my hubby. :) I really enjoyed this tutorial, however on the opening screen shot there was a swatch for "Metallic Sage" that wasn't mentioned in this tutorial. That would be the perfect color scheme for a Celtic knotwork project I'm working on. If you could direct me to another tutorial that shows how to do this effect or just list the colors involved, I would greatly appreciate it.

I have only just found this video, after looking at other tutorials on creating metallic surfaces with colored pencils, and wish I had found this first! Would have saved me some stressful failures😠 Is there anywhere you have listed the colours you used? Or do we have to write them down as you say them? I would probably colour in those half rings on the side of the circle, with the colors used for each blend, for future reference. But thats just me being pedantic. Thank you so much for such a great tutorial.

Great tutorial! I'm just starting out and trying to learn how to do all this blending and burnishing. I have a drawing I wanna do that calls for a root beer color and I'm honestly quite nervous about pulling it off

I love the metallics palettes. Then again, I'm an old school Metallica fan ;) "arr arr arr" sorry, I had to go there! How is Mina and Puff and the fish and the dog and the crazy neighbors doing? I feel "out of the loop".

i think i would use a white posca or to blend more a white prisma but really cool all around. I do actually use my metallics i just liven them up with other colors so they dont look flat

White ink is so much better than posca. Watch my review of 10 whiting products. Posca came in really low in the tests. It scratches off too easily and is way more raised up.

I love this! What does it mean that "yellow doesn't tone"?
@ColorMyWorld3 жыл бұрын
If you add grey to yellow all you get is a mess. Yellow is the only color that doesn't change when you add a grey or black to it. It doesn't form a new shade of yellow. It will tint and that means change to a lighter shade when adding white. Three important art terms to learn, tint, tone and shade.

How can you turn regular colored pencils into ones that write metallic or glittery?
@ColorMyWorld3 жыл бұрын
It's the way you combine the colors that give you the effect.

Ok, I've listened 4 times, what is the very first pencil you use on the first red blend? You say Metallic Red, but the pencil looks like crimson red... I just can't quite catch the number in the video... all the rest are clearly stated and I've got them... just that first one has thrown me. Thanks so very much for all the work you put into these exercises, you will never know how very much they have helped at this point in my life.
