It had potential fell short of it. That's the real bitch about the whole thing. If it had a little bit of Death Magnetic in it, it would have been pretty good album. Similarly, Death Magnetic genuinely needed a bit of St Anger.

One of the coolest and most underrated drummers I've seen/heard is Joe Nuñez, I was blown away, when I saw Soulfy in 2010, by how minimalistic his kit is and how much he can get out of it.

The real downfall to St Anger is could've been a lot shorter, it would've been more impactful that way. I never really thought about it but that main riff sounds like something The Holly Springs Disaster would do. Taking this song full tilt really makes those vibes clear lol. I never thought about St Anger as a long and bloated hardcore album but there are so many awesome riffs on there. Can't wait to see what you guys do with the next 2 songs. Love the production on this too, this cover is awesome!

Btw, I left a comment on your St. Anger video as well, just wondering if you've heard Daryl Gardner's covers of the entire album, St. Anger 2015. The difference is you make it your own, but they cover it as if Metallica recorded and produced it with a more modern quality and sound, without the pots and pans. But if you're waiting to check it out, I totally get it! Don't want another version influencing your own take on it.
