Bret Snyder you're welcome🙌🙌. How do you get that tones? I say, do you use a specific software? I wanna make home-records for my original music, and i have a little amp and well, the sound isn't great :c
@BretSnyderMusic
@BretSnyderMusic 6 жыл бұрын
The best decision I made was moving from dedicated hardware (a 32 track Korg) to Pro Tools. That opened up so many possibilities to really dial in the sound. I've always used a Line6 pedal board direct into an interface, but that only gets you so far. A nice DAW like Pro Tools or Logic will take your sound to the next level. Just beware that you can go down a financial rabbit hole with plugins - the main accessory to boosting your tones.

Man... I have been a Metallica fan for a long time. And I’ve never been a fan of many covers. But... you have made a significant impact on how I view that solo and never did I ever think I would say that someone could play it better than Kirk. Well fuckin done man.

While your comment is coming from a good place, you should probably know that as far as professional guitarists go - Kirk is really not very good. Great rock star though!

S M the cool thing about music is you don’t have to be the absolute best musician in the world (playing-wise) in order to write something that sounds awesome
@Siritos
@Siritos 4 жыл бұрын
@@Ron.Swanson. Well...yea. But we were talking about how a good a guitarist Kirk was. Not how good a musician or composer he was. However, I'd still argue that James and Lars are MUCH better musicians than Kirk. Judging a professional guitarist can be a very objective process, and by doing so, unfortunately Kirk is found wanting. Many of his solos are quite repetitive and similar.
@badjuju6430

S M. Hey man each to their own. But I meant that the cover held it’s own ground against the original. And you don’t have to be the worlds finest guitarist to create enjoyable music. Because music is valued by personal taste. Although I am still aware that Kirk isn’t the best at guitar.

Ralph Mayers Thanks for the comments. To start with, I'm a big fan of active pickups and the EMG's really pack a punch. The biggest effect is the amp sim, which is coming from a Line 6 Pod HD500x. Final step is mixing with eq and a few effects plugins. The intro was recorded with 2 acoustic guitars, one nylon-strung and one steel-strung.
