What Dee doesn’t get is that - unlike Twisted Sister - Metallica has enough “hits” to fill two different nights. Metallica - 11 studio albums, all but the one released earlier this year AT LEAST Platinum, including 3 that sold roughly 8 million copies or more. The last one is already gold and has been out for just four months. Twisted Sister - 1 Platinum, 2 Gold records I have respect for what Dee and Sister have done, but attempting to compare the two is absurd.

Gee Dee - the people who go to your shows haven't heard the "deep cuts" from your albums that nobody bought so you are forced to just play songs from your three albums people have heard of? Really? Twisted Sister singles that charted in the US - 3 Metallica singles that charted in the US - 17 Twisted Sister singles that went at least gold - 2, Metallica singles that went at least gold - 17 To quote Jules from Pulp Fiction - comparing the two "ain't the same f*ckin' ballpark, it ain't the same league, it ain't even the same f*ckin' sport."

He can say whatever he wants. For me, imagine having the catalog that enables you to have different set lists per night… AND REMEMBER THE SONGS: chords, intros, changes, solos, tempos, words, endings. That’s a career. And they still kick ass. Total pros. Just incredible.

I would agree with him, if it was a band that was only active for a decade, like Twisted Sister. But Metallica has been around for 40 years. They have a lot of hits, plenty enough to do two separate sets. But, I can't say I was ever a Dee Snyder fan, and really only liked a few TS songs.

Right. Metallica is playing two nights in a city and sling out 70,000 each night. Most people know 2 - 4 TS songs.

I've never been in a band as successful as Metallica, but I still wouldn't pay money to hear Metallica play any songs from the last 33 years. We can play the game of "who's more popular/who's sold more albums" if you want, but it doesn't negate the fact that there are many people who think Metallica is a shadow of what they once were. Dee just came out amd said it because he's not beholden to Metallica in any way.

No no no- Metallica have so many great songs. It’s an opportunity to see James, Lars, Kirk and Robert to rock so much more for the crowd over a weekend. Normally, they play 16 or 17 songs. Now the fans can see 32 songs. Metallica undoubtedly is the smartest Rock and Roll band around. They handle everything. The record great quality live music from their shows and is a great souvenir for people to re-live their shows. Metallica does it right!!!

I've seen lots of bands do this. Some play their harder faster songs the first night and their slow songs the 2nd. I think the bigger problem is the price of tickets and the price of drinks.

Twisted Sister is way better than Metallica, I would pay to see them over Metallica anyday. Twisted Sister had many great songs, just because they were'nt " hits" doesn't mean they weren't great songs, Dee Snider is an amazing song writer and a way better front man. Twisted Sister forever
