Metallica after the death of cliff never let any bass player stand out like cliff did, and in the studio they never let Jason fly and he always limited himself to playing what james said and his bass sounded very slowly so that the change would not be noticed from cliff, also metallica always bullied jason, they told him that he would never be like cliff and many more things, in live videos you can see the hatred they had for jason and when he left the band they forbade him to play in another band( the bass sound poor for that reason)

Why do people keep saying Lars is shit on drums? he is a lot better then people give him credit for. He might not be mind blowing but he is good enough if he lasted this long in the band. There are many drummers from other bands who are miles better but at least he can keep a beat and actually play the material well.

Johnny The biggest problem people have with Lars is his inability to stay in time and he constantly uses fills that only make it worse. The bass and rhythm guitar are the only things really keeping in time so that James can sing properly without the entire sound being massacred. Lars isn't awful by any means, but he needs to learn to keep time.

Dude, this was my first concert ever at the Great Western Forum!!! Although not sure if there were multiple nights in a row. I remember a 2nd drum set rising up from under the stage and both Lars and James drum battling! I also got to talk to Lars on Pirate Radio a day before or after the show, can't remember!! Cheers!!!!
