The first two Rock Concerts I had ever been to were Metallica shows! Both concerts were at The Old Met Stadium in Bloomington Minnesota. For those who do not know Minnesota very well, the IKEA store sits where the old Met Stadium use to sit. I remember being so blown away by the raw power of it all. The crowd was so loud both concerts nights they would drown out James voice as he sang the words to the songs they played! Metallica was on the ....And justice for all tour. They did 2 separate shows a few months apart. Show #1) The Cult opened for them. Show #2) Queensrÿche I have go on to see Metallica 12 different times over the years. Some of the other opening acts were I can remember were Kid Rock, Suicidal Tendencies, a few times it was just Metallica with no opening acts. I count myself lucky to have seen them so many times thru the years. Unfortunately I missed them this past weekend at Viking stadium. Pantera would have been awesome to see!

@@jd0879 "one city once a week" leaves out the important info of it being TWO shows every weekend, with 30 or more songs per weekend. 30 songs over the course of 3 days, Friday to Sunday. Obviously they're in their 60s, so touring easier allows them to be on the road longer per year without getting burnt out.

They were told you need a wrist band and those are back outside. WTF. Strike one. So they had to go all the way around to opposite side and then back up the stairs , stood long ass line to get said wrist band for main floor. Then they go to get a beer. Waited over 30 minutes to get a beer. Strike two. Then he goes to pay for the beer. $20.58 and there was an automatic 25% tip thing that if you didn’t manually stop you were charged. Strike three. That kind of shit takes all the joy of going to a show. $20 a beer , c’mon. And the sound sucked he said too.
