That's a really good adaptation. Normaly people, when trasnposing vocal lines, play that bunch of repeated notes that people do when singing. And when you do, you make it more interesting with sttacato or grace notes.

However, there are two or three of them now. One established in the 90s, one in Australia that changed the "g" to an "x," and one in China that has the word "Krith" in front of the word "Nazgul." This is just another example of how well James writes music. Metal to this.... when a song can be turned in to so many different styles of the same song it has to be well written.

midi composed arrangements CAN sound good if you put in the effort, use good samples, and adjust the quantization to be less rigid. This takes time, though.

I have tried a couple of the electronic 'medieval' songs and I prefer the ones like this that use real instruments. Many of the midi produced tracks sound too much like either modern EDM tracks or like a Casio demo song.

The low-whistle sounds especially nice, and I like the way you included the vocal parts in the instrumental which is what is needed with this song. Imagine something like this playing in a forest in Skyrim. You would be transfixed by its beauty, drawn to it like a spell. Absolutely haunting.
